Re: Chilean Electric Locomotive, E-29.
Very nice. But how much is the poly/triangle cost? (for one bogie)
I want to know because my bogies costs ~10k of polys and 23k triangles and i think that's a bit much. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5862163/rwstema/v63ren_11.png

Re: imported model to rw have shading errors. Why?
I've using 3d programs since 2 months, and i thought the smoothing groups are made to smooth the hard edges of model (by making new polygons), and now i see it controls the shading, and texture blending :D and do nothing with the mesh. I've figured this out when i clicked on auto smooth just after i...

imported model to rw have shading errors. Why?
Hi! I've made a loco for rw, which looks good in 3d max both in render and viewport. Before texturing i put on a "tryout" texture (made by ms paint :D) But if i export to game (strange it takes 5 min to convert only the igs in blueprint editor but the model is 33k poly), i get shadows or light effec...

Re: Missing node?
I've noticed another thing. I have a loco model, what contains 33000 polys in total. But when i export it in blueprint editor, the conversion from igs takes about 5 min! When a another 18k poly model conversion takes 30 sec. Why it is so slow?

Missing node?
Hi i've exported my loco made a config, and i get these errors in logmate: Trace C:\Dev\RailWorksRelease\Code\DLLs\RailVehicleManager\cBogey.cpp : 590 = Rail vehicle "disc\MAV_V63\railvehicles\electric\v63\default\engine\v63_engine.xml" missing node "bo01wh01" and same with all the other 5 wheels (c...

Re: Tips to make a "different" power handle in RW
The problem is, the class 166 power and brake control is a combined throttle and trainbrake control, and that control is built in to engine, as the separated throttle and trainbrake controls. But the problem is that you can't use other controls for these, just those above. It would be good if the en...

Re: Error: "Unable to Preview Shape"
For me the preview not works completely. Nor from simple blueprint editor (unable to create preview), nor from the blueprint editor what starts with asset editor (just nothing appears in asset editor), but the model conversion went fine (without error message, but it took about 3 min to convert a 33...

Tips to make a "different" power handle in RW
Hi! Trying to put an EMU train in rw, what have handles like this: throttle and dynamic brake combined (and under 5km/h it activates the trainbrake), and a seperated "overriding" trainbrake handle. Is it possible to make it in railworks? Who have any clue about this, please share with me :) I though...

Run time error 5
invalid procedure call, when edit assets add to list, select an electric loco blueprint (fe br101) then click on edit rollin stock/edit rolling stock physics (diesel/electric). Sometimes it works, but very rare.

Re: Stitching Routes Together
It's probably a lot down to how much memory is available on the system. I would think the entire route network has to be stored in memory, and those with not enough memory will encounter dreadful swapping performance hits. Assets per tile is more to do with graphical processing performance. wrong. ...
