Re: Class 57/0 Update Discussion
Most RW engines spool down way too fast - is there a cutout relating to throttle position for the electrical side of a DE? ie in your 37 if you closed the throttle would it cut power to the traction motors? RW seems to do that. I don't know that much about locomotive-sized engines, but I rather susp...

Re: A Little Bit Of Atmosphere! 4
Bristol might get wires one day; it was planned, and probably been dumped again. Anything further west is going to take us running out of oil, biodiesel, trees, and anything else combustible, this is a pretty sleepy part of the world.

Re: Class 57/0 Update Discussion
Use the distance fading that AP's been using for all their soundpacks for a while. Other than that and mebbe a vigilance device ( if they have one? ) all I can think of is some more scenarios - preferably ones without long distances with nothing going on, and perhaps some ( seperate download? ) ver...

That does look really good! Nice job! I like fictional if it looks good. I think I might give this a whirl today. It's superb looking here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/15604270@N02/5233470913/ Not really a fan of NSE livery, but I reckon some version of the later cab side style ( where it splits i...

Re: Some Wagon Creation Problems .....
Yes, I was wondering about pipes; DaveB's EPB has working cable couplers internally, but it does have it's own coupling type. I guess you can make your own 3link type with connected pipe geometry, but then you have to make your own actual 3link coupler too. I would suggest looking at the EPB epb_lin...

Home fires had/have dampers, they're the plate under the grate that controls how much air gets in underneath. Same principle ( if you've ever raised a fire in a fireplace, anyway ).

Lol, something inside died a little
I reckon a large logo Hymek wouldn't look too bad. Yeah, let's see how that looks.

Yeah, that's better. Can you take one from the cab seat? it looks like you've taken a photo with a flashgun, but I think from the seat that would probably look right.

Something to do with the cab being so far outside the wheelbase? ( I don't have it to look at it ).

Re: WIP Thread 4 - Anything new for RailWorks
I decided to make my Deltic cab textures all uncompressed. Don't care. It works for me and that's all that matters. I can't deal with this crutch of compression. The Class 50 works for people and that thing has massive uncompressed body and cab textures, so making a uncompressed cab for the Deltic ...

Re: Railworks Technical Update
I think the problem at the moment is having seperate texture sets for day/night? hence having to pick the night ones. If the game modified the hue/lum of each texture depending on time of day ( night is a different colour light, hence the hue ) that would be a pretty cheap way of doing lighting tran...
