Re: MEP - Morning parcels from Cambridge

Sorry to hear you are having trouble Art. I can assure you that this, and indeed all MEP activities, were fully tested and in working order prior to the production of the DVD. I would not have tested an activity of this length without at least one save and resume, and possibly more. I have run the s...

Re: MEP Help

That's very strange Art.

I've just tried again, and left it refuelling. It carried on until it stopped at 900 gallons.

I hope you can overcome this, although, if you have reached Hitchin you have almost completed the activity anyway.

Good luck

Re: MEP Help

Hi Art

The activity ends at Hitchin, so you were not far out!

I put in 700 gallons of diesel - it took ages! I'm not sure how much I had left at the end.

In case you don't know, if you hold down T and press Ctrl - you can then release both keys and refuel "hands free".

Re: MEP.

Hi Art I had no signal checks at all on this run. My timings were - Stevenage - 9.30 Huntingdon - 9.45 Peterborough - 9.51 Newark - 10.04 Retford - 10.09 Doncaster - 10.25 Selby - 10.34 York - 10.46 I was running as fast as possible, but within all line speed limits, so perhaps you were early, as yo...

Re: EMP Act help.

Hi Art It does look like you are running late. In testing, I reached the loop in Cambridge Yard at 9.48, and was overtaken by a Class 47 passenger train at 9.50. This stopped briefly at Cambridge, departing at 9.50.43. My signal cleared at 9.52.40, whence I rejoined the main line to continue. I hope...

Re: Woodhead V4.

Thanks for the extension and improvements Tim. The complex trackwork in places is amazing, and the scenery and buildings are absolutely glorious. I will be spending many happy hours working through the supplied activities. Happy days indeed for MSTS / Open Rails. Congratulations to you and your cont...

Re: Glasgow - Carlisle V4

Thanks for a great upload Niall. This is the first version of Glasgow - Carlisle that I have downloaded, because I am not very interested in "modern" (to me) railways. I was tempted by the fantastic screenshots and have not been disappointed. The two main stations are works of art, especially in Ope...

Re: Whittle Colliery Railway

Thanks Chris I always use the automatic fireman, and have enough trouble managing the regulator and reverser. I do appreciate your attempts to achieve realistic running with these locos, but I just want to "play trains", so I will just have to muddle along (as usual). I have just written off Gwen an...

Re: Whittle Colliery Railway

Hi Chris I have installed the updated route with no problems, completed the Intro activity, and got halfway through Shilbottle Short Run, with no problems either. The scenery looks even better, and it is great to have the additional colliery, and section of main line (which I have yet to see). I am ...

There are some superb video clips on Youtube featuring The Jacobite and the West Highland Line - try looking for uploads by acw71000 for starters.

Re: Steam Loco Cab Crews In OR

Many thanks for this Ged - it works fine for me so far, and it looks like the Open Rails developers are keen to move forwards, rather than persevere with full MSTS compatability. This should, of course, be good for the future, but even as it stands now, it is great to be able to successfully run mor...

Re: How do I get MEP to show in Open Rails

Good news Richard. :D You may wish to look at this - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AnxCO2Zg61QWdGVOcHprQjhVb2dWMUdnWFI0cWlsR1E&usp=sharing#gid=0 This is a spreadsheet which, although incomplete, gives an idea of which activities will run in Open Rails. It is not mine, and I cannot rec...

Re: How do I get MEP to show in Open Rails

Hi Richard From the Open Rails opening screen, select Add... Highlight the MEP "Train Simulator" folder and click OK. Rename to "MEP" and that's it. (I think) You can now select MEP as the installation profile and will see and be able to start all unstored activities. They will not necessarily run c...

Re: MEP

Hi All I also tested this activity ( in 2010!!) and noted the following timings - 8.00.00 Start 8.01.07 Held at Signal, overtaken by DMU 8.03.04 Performed "shuffle" (edging forwards) to clear the signal Later, in the activity, I was held at two red signals, which cleared without any need to shuffle....
