I had this problem a year ago. Tried everything, then I moved all the .exe and .dll files out of the Railworks root directory and did a verify to reacquire them. I don't know which file(s) caused the trouble, but this fixed the problem.

I did roll the driver back, but that was after the problem happened. I will do as you suggest regarding the clean install. I will also remove the DSR options, but I was using your settings successfully for months before this happened. This will have to wait a few hours, it's bedtime. I wonder if it'...

DirectX 12 is installed.

I restored all the Nvidia settings to default and still got FPS 15. Then I set all the in game settings to very basic with same result. When I first click shift Z, the value is much higher, in the 30s, but it drops to 15 within a second and stays there.

I don't have any other games to compare. I ran a free version of PCMark Vantage and got a score of 40239, which it said was better than 94% of all results. My Railworks folder has grown to 138 Gb. Is that too large for the program to handle?

I hadn't used TS2016 for a week or so, and when I did, I found I had fps 15 always, no matter what route. Everything had been fine before, using peterfhayes DSR settings.
