I've only just spotted this thread but I have the answer to your question.

You need a program that's capable of adding loops to sound files such as Cool Edit or Adobe Audition. Here I've opened a file that already contains the loops.

I was finding the crossings and the going-over-bridge sounds far too loud, especially as they start and stop so abruptly. This is a problem that was recently fixed with one of the Steam updates. It also happens if you are using an old version of the mk1 AP sound pack.

Does anyone know if there is an update from whoever makes the freeware branded double stack containers to make them show in TS2012 when clicking the pre-load cargo box? The default unbranded ones show up fine.

I have that problem too and it appears whichever way you look at the engine.
