Re: TS 2013 Not Starting
Same for me. Deleted TS2012 (TS2013 wasn't listed) and downloaded TS2013 again. All appears to download and go into install, including putting an icon on the desktop, but does not start :( Update: Using the "Issues and Fixes" information from Steam Support titled "Secondary Installers" cured part o...

Update: Laptops good for running RW
Hi I know there are many references to laptops & RW, I've read a lot of them, but my quest is to find a laptop which will run RW satisfactorily which isn't horrendously expensive. I have adequate desktop machines but I'm not always at home when time hangs heavy on my hands and I would like to do som...

Re: Laptops running Railworks?
Thanks for the replies.
I concluded in the end that buying a capable laptop just to be able to run RW while away from home was liable to cause some domestic friction.
Everything else I need to do while away runs OK on my netbook!
Thanks again.

Laptops running Railworks?
Hi
I couldn't find a thread on this - apologies if there is one!
What lower cost laptops have been used to run Railworks successfully?
Fred

Re: General
Hi I've installed Firefox and set it as the default browser but that hasn't made any difference. Its now Wednesday and I'm still getting the 'game not available at this time message'. If this was a UK company I'd be contacting Trading Standards before long. They've taken the money and delivered noth...

Re: General
I'm having problems and I'm running IE8 on Vista.
All day yesterday and today I'm getting a notice from Steam saying Railworks is not currently available please try later.
Is there a diagnostic for this?

Re: S&D Modernisation (Fictional) by myself!
Hi bigvern I strongly suspect you are right, but I'm not qualified to make the case for a programming error, being neither a mechanical nor a software engineer. From the discussions elswhere it would seem that the RailSimulator people need to look again at their assumtions about brake performance an...

Re: S&D Modernisation (Fictional) by myself!
Being an S&DJR fan and wondering what it would be like to run more modern stock I tried a 47 with 9 Mk1 coaches from Evercreech to Bath. I discovered the hard way that the brakes are not good enough, it being a very close run thing to stop in Radstock. But the real shock was the descent into Bath. C...

Re: Modifying an existing sim.
It is possible to make a duplicate of an existing route and edit it and any scenarios separately, you should of done some research before jumping in head first . Please tell me how to make a duplicate of an existing route - the methods I have tried so far don't work. :-( (The method may be bu...
