Re: Loco Tilt Issue causing loco to fly
OK Small update, done some more fiddling with the numbers, and now I get a slightly smaller jump and the bogies come together more. One thing is the error has changed now to "Player train derailed" Any ideas how to fix it? Edit: Could it be that the mesh height is a issue - the Class 76 has a flat b...

Hi,
I have used Sketchup to make the mesh, and then used Blender to texture and export the model

Loco Tilt Issue causing loco to fly
Hi I am trying to figure out how to get my loco to join up with the bogies and not start flying due to "Consist Tilt" I have tried numerous values for the collision boxes pivots etc, all giving the same response. I have even tried the Values from the Class 76, but still same. I have just tried start...

Re: Grouping parts together in Blender to export
Ok thanks very much
I plan to keep a unjoined version as well, just in case

Grouping parts together in Blender to export
Hi OK so I currently have a bogie, made out of several parts, which was fine when the bogie was essentially a locomotive (and not requiring to be named boxx). However, now, I need the bogie to be a bogie (ie named bo01). Can I do something so that all my parts are "lumped" together so it can be call...

Re: Setting up Accurate Physics and possible Electro-diesel work
OK this seems a reasonable idea. So invisible bogie/wheel wouldn't need a mesh, so theoretically could have a wheel radius of 1cm and bring it in real close, OK, will have a go, see what results I can get (once I stop the current flying loco situation I currently have)

Re: "Bogie-less" Locomotives
OK now got a new issue... I have brought everything together now, and when I click on the locomotive it shoots up into the sky. I worked out the collision boxes data from here: http://www.christrains.com/ts_faq_pivotcouplings.html with the collsision box of the loco calculated to be a gap in between...

Re: "Bogie-less" Locomotives
Ahh thanks!
Found the relevant blueprints now.
Will my invisible bogies need to be powered though? - the 76s aren't, but that will be slightly different due to the powering isue

Re: "Bogie-less" Locomotives
OK I think I have spotted a couple of .bin files in the Woodhead 76, called "BodyworkBogie", "BodyBogie" and "BogieBogie" I am assuming that one of these is the file for the invisible bogies, but I tried using "edit with Notepad++" but it brings up gibberish with a load of "NULS"

OK Bogie is now finished, and finally has a working electric pickup!

Re: "Bogie-less" Locomotives
Yes I thought about that - is there anyway to look at the bogie Blueprint files to see how they sorted out the collision boxes and how they reference invisible bogies?xguerra wrote:Something has occurred to me. The EM1 from the Woodhead is bogie-less as well.

The aim is to get it to run from one controller in diesel mode, and another controller in electric mode
