Re: Everything Diesel & Electric- Part 3

Just testing that the new cablights (unlike the one's supplied with the 87 which bizarrely never have) work at either end - these are independent items allowing you control of the leading or trailing cab light as required.

Re: Jolly Good Fun ... Narrow Gauge rails in North Wales

At the moment there's a sale on the Steam store, not Dovetail only, and they have the S&C in a Class 31 "complete my collection bundle" - the most you'll pay is £15.45 for the route and 4 sets of Class 31 DLC as listed below Settle-Carlisle Route BR Class 31 Loco BR Class 31 Ochre Livery BR Class 31...

Re: Vid up of AP 150/2 pack!

People need to realise exactly what forces are at work when it comes to AP setting the price - it's far harder than what people would like to pay. Firstly they've paid I'd estimate easily a high 3 to 4-figure sum for the 150/2 model - covering the work developing it AND the loss of revenue for Thoms...

Re: Everything Diesel & Electric- Part 3

Ready for manuals and an installer are these two variants of the Class 87 in InterCity Swallow era. The stripes are colour matched to the AP Class 90 WCML-N MK3 reskins, the loco skins are for the standalone Class 87 DLC and they also require the Class 86/7 sound pack from Armstrong Powerhouse. They...

Re: LM Class 172 ID 36788

I think the 350 has a more similar front to the LM172 than a 377 but the body doesn't! but listening to DtG's 172 I think it sounds pretty similar to the ones trundling around these parts especially from the outside anyway. And Gary.... :argue: Shouting! With the exception of the livery I can't see...

Re: LM Class 172 ID 36788

Class 172s are fitted with 5 speed gearboxes as opposed to the 2 speed items in Turbostars, and the first gear change is very low at around 15-20mph. One other key difference between a Class 172 and a Class 377 is the 172 bodies are 3 metres, or in this case 15% longer than the 377 bodies but there'...

People who know, won't say, the rest of us have as much clue as you. Developers don't whisper dates at select random users.

Re: Train Simulator 2018 - what's included

So, I'm not going to post up pictures or anything revealing other than feeding the forums live for potential guesswork :-) I went to NRM York today where Matt P was showing off a pre-release build of NWC. One thing I was curious about was that the Class 221 has a tilt system fitted with working in-c...

Re: Superelevation and pointwork

Yes. They never invested into the effort to implement this. I think that is a little harsh. Super elevation has to try and be all things to all levels of user, otherwise only a select few would be able to function with complex calculations - they didn't want to give people complete freedom to defin...

and the pleasure of driving over it long before steam release. DTG dictate the steam price, not the third party seller, they have to take it or leave. It is why many add-ons are released first outside of steam, so that the creator has some chance of a reasonable return. But then a lot of sellers co...

Re: Signalling assistance

Thanks for more detail AndiS. My plan is to resignal the lot with Wherry Lines signals, it will just take some time to do. I shall double check all link directions but I think they're correct.

Re: Signalling assistance

Sorry that I can't offer too much wisdom on this as it was AndiS who signalled the Wherry Lines but as an aside, I do know you can safely put link 0 a good few yards in front of the signal instead of beyond. The scripting is intelligent enough to not drop the signal to danger as soon as link 0 is p...
