Re: Left overs from track laying
It sounds like a daft question but have you checked underground for track or other linear objects? When I first started track laying, I got bit by this one. I found the 2D map shows these up quite well.

I'm wondering if that message is what you get if you don't go back for your carriages.

Re: Can anyone make some old style br searchlight signals
Once I've got my head around materials for RW I might give it a go but that's a long way off. Sorry.

Re: Jubilee scenario Round and Round
Hi Rob, Wow! Here I am at Chester Le Street. Think I'll watch some cricket while I'm here  Your cunning plan worked. Thank you. I really enjoyed that one. I should award you the Steely-Eyed Missile Man Award For Extreme Cleverness. One day I'll work out how you solved this. I wonder what's happ...

Re: Can anyone make some old style br searchlight signals
Hi John, Thanks. I've never created anything that can be scripted, just dumb scenery. That's on the horizon somewhere. But I'm sure you're right about the lights. One day I'll have a proper handle on all this. If Overmarze wants to take my files as a starting point then that's no problem for me. I h...

Re: Jubilee scenario Round and Round
No. Hit points at 0.2 mph and now covered in milk and shrapnel again
. Perhaps the dynamics were altered in the last patch?
Would you do me a favour and try again. Sorry no screenie but once the "Game Over" splash appears, CTRL+S and ALT+Prt Scn don't work.

Re: Can anyone make some old style br searchlight signals
John, Thanks for the extra information. I also have MSTS and Trainz so 3D Canvas and Trainworks would definitely be my preferred dev environment. Overmarze, It's not really a light just a piece of translucent material tinted red. Send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you the .skb and .s...

Re: Jubilee scenario Round and Round
Thanks for the correction.
I have just two questions. How was I supposed to know that and how did you find out?

Re: Jubilee scenario Round and Round
I've just run this scenario several times and it is not possible to achieve the penultimate goal - Newcastle SW Junc 10.
Whilst I don't get an error, a quick look at the 2D Map shows that a switch has not been set. For me, this results in a derailment.

Re: Display Options changed after Upgrade
How are the options set on the 2D map in the game as opposed to the editor?

I liked the ones you did, OM. Here's what I ended up with. Not as good as yours but good practise for me anyway.

I don't remember the freeware version doing that. Must be a "feature".

Re: Can anyone make some old style br searchlight signals
Thanks Gav, OK. The route I took was - SketchUp Freeware, Blender, 3DS Max. Only because I had access to all three. The route I would have preferred would have been SketchUp Freeware, Blender, 3D Canvas Pro. I don't have access to 3D Canvas Pro in order to find out which Blender/3D Canvas Pro combin...

Re: Can anyone make some old style br searchlight signals
I used Blender to export a .FBX file and it went into £DS (I keep doing that! Freudian or what!)... 3DS Max effortlessly. Could it be that 3D Canvas will accept the same filetype? Here's how far I've got with your signal, OM. [album 236208 searchlight.jpg thumblink] Obviously it's not finished yet a...
