Re: Does Railworks uses the quad core CPU?
If you run logmate, the output will tell you how RW identifies your system.

Decoding Logmate Output
Has anyone else seen this kind of Logmate information and had is decoded or diagnosed? I'd be really interested to know. I thought I'd try this here before sending it to the busy guys at RSC. This doesn't seem to affect my route at all but only on my local machine. On tour, my route gets homesick an...

Re: Can I fit an existing route into a new developer structure?
Geoff, Sorry. I'm really confused now. Here is what I'm seeing: [album 236208 providers.jpg thumblink] As you can see it shows that I've selected RailSimulatorUS (which I didn't) as well as RailSimulator. It's a UK route and I wouldn't put any US objects in it. However, when I ask RW_Tools what I ha...

Re: Can I fit an existing route into a new developer structure?
A lot of really useful information in this thread. Geoff, I've got a route that crashes everyone elses machine it lands on but which is fine locally albeit with logmate errors which I've been trying to track down (no pun intended). This brings me to my question: Has RailSimulator Core left the list ...

Re: Can I fit an existing route into a new developer structure?
Actually, it wasn't my route and there was a loading screen issue but it was a lot of fun hacking around not knowing why some files are .XML and some are .BIN and lie about their file extensions. I'll bet that Serz.exe was thought up by the guy who invented C++. He did this, reportedly, to keep soft...

Mods, you can delete this thread if you like.
I figured it out and it was much easier than I thought.
Thanks

Can I fit an existing route into a new developer structure?
Can I fit an existing route into a new developer structure? I have a route with all its files in the content path but which was not setup via a bone fide developer structure. Is there a simple way of retrofitting the route to the new developer structure? I have RW_Tools and I can edit XML if needed....

Is the pinging sound coming from the RailDriver internal speaker?

Re: Making scenarios doesn't work!
Is it possible that there is a set of manual points set incorrectly? I don't know for sure as I've never made a scenario yet.

Yes. RPK is a Rail Simulator package and RWP is a Railworks package. RPKs can be used in RW but not vice versa, I think.

Re: Left overs from track laying
I've had a nose around a couple routes now and can't seem to find any loose or isolated red rectangles. They can also mark the ends of more than just track. It did occur to me that you should make sure that the detail level slider is turned all the way up to ten. Maybe that will reveal the culprits.
