New route: Latchford to Fiddlers Ferry Power Stn.
Coal is King once again! A new route is currently in development which recreates the Line from Latchford to Fiddlers Ferry Power Stn. Once completed it will allow you to drive a complete service from Latchford to Fiddlers Ferry, discharge a complete HTA set (at 0.05mph) and then return to Latchford....

Re: Class 60 Advanced - Just Trains - Coming soon
Lack of pull seems to be the old (?) RW problem of starting the scenario already coupled up. Reversing back on to the tanks at the start of the scenario results in the 60 getting the load up to 20-25 quite easily. Also, just applied the AP 60 soundpack. With the base turned up this gives a satisfyi...

Re: WCML Over Shap
Driver Fatigue is certainly taken very seriously within all TOCs. We have various safeguards built in. However Passenger Drivers don't face the same type of fatigue as Feight Train Drivers. The environment is totally different. Also remember Train Drivers don't have nice flight computers with progra...

Re: Riding the yellows, Shenfield flyer v2
Nice Video! Just one point to mention re the Speed Control. The correct method is to close the Power Controller and then use the Auto Brake to slow down. Once you get to your target speed ie 70mph set the power Control to 70 mph and open the Controller or coast. This feature was wrongly modelled, mo...
Also worth mentioning that the Class 90 can brake thru a Neutral section without losing breaking power when the VCB trips.
Thanks for adding the comment re Class 90s. Fodda, in the Video the Driver is using the Anti slip feature to control the Loco Wheel slip. This is aButton on the...

Re: Class 60 Advanced - Just Trains - Coming soon
Just to add that if your Class 60 is actually able to move the 30 TEAs then it's doing its job. Class 60s have a very high power to Rail ratio up to 30mph. It could be something within the Model as you touched on? Not all real 60s perform the same. 60015 is a dream to drive power wise whilst 60020 i...

Get rid of Warning Horn penalty?
Is there any way to remove or stop the sim from marking my trips down for improper use of the Warning Horn? This is totally Inaccurate from a Drivers point of view and serves no usefull purpose. If I worked to this criteria in real life it would be dangerous. One example is using the Horn at "W" Boa...

Just about to revamp and upload an activity which is a joint effort by my Son and myself. 1S25 Euston to Aberdeen Caledonian Sleepers. This is the first scenario I have been involved with and based on my own Driving experiences. Additional material will be placed in a PDF Document which will give ac...

Re: Class 60 Advanced - Just Trains - Coming soon
Now there is a route I'd like to see, Liverpool Docks to Fiddlers Ferry, I can remember running that circuit when I worked on the Coal Desk for EWS in the "bouncy castle". Bouncy Castle? I have heard it called "The Death Star" but how that fits in I don't know. I was over there the other week with ...

Re: Class 60 Advanced - Just Trains - Coming soon
rkk01. I think you will find the fact that struggling with 30 TEAs is to be expected! You may not realise but this is a combination weight of 3000 tons! I drive these beasts regularly and they really come into being "super 60s" when bringing 23 Loaded HTAs from Liverpool Docks to Fiddlers Ferry Powe...

Re: WCML Over Shap
Peter,........ Just to add that any AC Locos (other than Class 86/87s) it is in order to make any degree of Brake application through Neutral Sections with no adverse effects. With the Auto Brake being applied you should see your Gauges showing the Train Brake reduced and the Traction Motor Needles ...

Re: WCML Over Shap
On my local route, the Great Eastern, when the Class 86 were introduced after completion of the Norwich electrification, I met a driver, who said he enjoyed the challenge of the complexity of handling the tap changer mode of driving, compared to the previous Class 47's. Chris That's a good point yo...

Re: Passing Points not showing?
Resolved. Apparently you can enter passing points by putting the location in from the drop down list and entering a low speed. Completed my scenario and all works as planned.
