T3 Workste Boards - Help needed.
Would someone be prepared to make a pair of two Engineering Marker Boards? This is one area of TS that I have not a clue how to make! The boards are yellow oblong shaped, one has two yellow vertical flashing lights, the other has two red vertical flashing lights. I am prepared to offer payment in re...

Re: Class 91 and Class 92 Progress
PS: Does anyone know tell me what this means? Refers to the brake level... Same like the Class 66 and 67... No, anything but! Forget Class 66 / 67s and all the other Locos, a 92 is completely on its own. The Drivers Auto Brake Stick works in the opposite direction (pull back to apply and push forwa...

Re: Realistic Advice for the Betterment of Driving
Unfortunately the current 'Pro' signals in the sim are broken in that the diverging signal with the feather is always a yellow regardless of whether the signal ahead is clear or not. Makes it oh too tempting to assume the signal ahead is clear so as to not lose progress! My Office Sir, you have som...

Re: Realistic Advice for the Betterment of Driving
The important thing to remember with flashing yellow aspects is that at the end of the sequence you must assume the Red Signal will be Red. This means that you set your Stall out to stop at this Signal. If it clears to another aspect as you approach the single yellow, all we'll and good. Unfortunate...

Re: Realistic Advice for the Betterment of Driving
You forgot to add "in Real Life" at the end of the paragraph. There are a lot of things you cannot do in Real Life that you take for granted in the Sim. EG - I had a nice run from Shenfield to Liverpool St with a 4Cig Emu :) Good point! This prob also adds the extra fun element to the game as we'll...

Re: Realistic Advice for the Betterment of Driving
A long term stored knackered 67 had some kind of technical fault that bypassed these safeguards and suffered irreparable motor damage when the reverser was changed on the move, I believe? I believe it did happen as you say. Unfortunate being a 67! The engineers report must have made interesting rea...

The guide is great. It must have taken a few hours to complete? The Map section must be popular? These are a must have item for anyone learning anew route.

Re: Class 86/87 AC Locomotives. Drivers Information
yyy Excellent stuff. How do you tackle a neutral section in the following scenario. In one scenario I was approaching a neutral section- uphill - which was preceded by a re signal about 0.2 miles from the NS. I had reduced the amps to zero and as I neared the red signal it changed to amber with me ...

Tap Changer undergoing refurbishment Crewe ETD 2001 Just a couple of pics showing the Tap Changer off a Class 86 in works at Crewe. The box of tricks is normally full with a light Oil to insulate the internal Electrics. The first picture shows the complete Tap Changer still intact. https://www.dropb...

Class 86/87 AC Locomotives. Drivers Information
I have decided to add various Topics which will be of interest to anyone who is interested in Class 86/87 AC Locos. This will be based on factual subjects. I have 15 years as a Traction Instructor on many Locos so hopefully by sharing some of this knowledge simmers can have a better understanding of...

Re: Realistic Advice for the Betterment of Driving
What happens when you stop at a station, with a green previous signal, and a yellow at the end of the platform, what sort of speed would you need to get to? You wouldn't want to just crawl along for the length of the block surely, since you won't be slowing down? Needless to say you wouldn't be goi...

Reverser Use - (Questions you always wanted to ask, but didn't want to look completely clueless........ ) On another forum somebody was asking the same kind of question, he was using the reverser to slow down his diesel-electric instead of using the brakes or even the dynamic brake on the loc...

Re: Neutral Sections
The Manual is slightly out of date but driving through a Neutral is a big no no. If your unlucky then the result is a please explain and Network Rail will want to know why the breakers have tripped out. Very impressive at night. Why does the VCB not stop the loco/unit drawing power thru a Neutral S...
