Well tried with manual fireman - admittedly with a heavy train. Kept fire high, water over 70 per cent and tried to be gentle, with blowers on and any attempt to go over 20 per cent reg to avoid coming to a halt meant massive boiler pressure drop.. You can ignore the F5 display for the damper, as that shows the real, internal damper of the core simulation, rather than the state of the virtual damper control. Funny you should bring up about the damper wheel, it turns with the mouse but doesn't with the keyboard commands in cab so not entirely sure if its actually working or not.. :) Actually I don't see any on/off indication with M and shift+M in the F5 display...so well, it might not be actually working...
