Re: WIP ported from RS to RW
Hi Phil, I'm happy to collaborate sources for a potential RW version from the MSTS one - i've done the majority of buildings, bridges and bits needed for the route....have a gander over here http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?f=257&t=93468 If you can find a way to get MSTS .s shape files (o...

Re: Converting Models
Not a problem, my length of thread was getting short trying to find an answer. Couldn't see the wood because the trees were in the way so to speak.
From what I've seen it's not imposible to convert, just takes alot of messing around to do

Re: Converting Models
Comments like 'you couldn't have looked far' are not appreciated thanks. 3 - 4 hours have been spent today looking through RW and RS threads try to find what I'm looking for, posting this was my last resort. Moving on, I'll take a gander over to Railworkswiki just now, I'd almost forgotten it was th...

Converting Models
Could someone tell me, can you convert MSTS models to Railworks? if so how? My apologies if this is on a thread already and if that is the case, please link me as I've poured through this forum all afternoon trying to find the answer. The reason being is I've been offered models used for the MSTS Is...

Re: WIP ported from RS to RW
Thanks for that, I've been keeping a check on Pitfalley's Isle of Man line for a while and it's looking good, I've offered my help with it, even if only in an advisory role(with living overhere on the mainland  I can literally just walk out the door and be on the old Northern line in 2-3 minut...

Re: WIP ported from RS to RW
Thanks for the kind words of encouragement, it makes a difference I'd love to keep it a true scale but unfortunately I don't have the technical know how or patience to remodel track or engines and rolling stock. I've given it a try on numerous occasions but to no avail. There is still a scope to use...

Re: Cresston V4 - WIP
I've got to agree, Cresston is one of the best available, up there with default routes. Looking forward to an extension and the 'deluxe' version. Might finally pursuade me to splash out on GARL.
Keep it up

Re: My dinky 02
The Manx Northern Heritage Line now has the perfect little shunter to work the Ramsey Quay branch. Bought in an old 101 at the same time to run the commuter and school runs on the northern line, leaving the Jinty the concentrate on the tourists.
nice work Derek

Re: What do I need?.
Hi Steve I agree with Paul, Isle of Wight is a must have payware add-on. As for freeware routes, I would recommend South Devon Banks http://members.uktrainsim.com/filelib-info.php?form_fileid=22690 The Port Road http://members.uktrainsim.com/filelib-info.php?form_fileid=23091 Cresston http://members...

Re: Glasgow Airport Rail Link!!!
In response to whether a professional route would be allowed to be extended my personal view is why not? I think it's been mentioned before, not only in this thread by Big Vern, but by others in different threads, for someone to download any freeware route from, for example, Glasgow Central to Dalry...

Re: Lofted terrain transparency: possible or not?
I can't remember where I downloaded the LPL embankments and cutting from. I think I got most of them through downloading Brendan's Cork - Dublin route and it's assets. I acquired the rest through downloading another routes assets but I can't remember which one at the moment. Have a search in the Rai...

Re: WIP ported from RS to RW
The place looks far better than it does in my screenshots. The plan is to re-open the railway in stages. At the moment our skilled team of volounteers are clearing the path of the old line from just outside Ramsey to Sulby Bridge in preparation for the laying of local ballast and the new shipment of...
