Re: AP files - Don't you believe everything you read.
In the FAQ there is a good story about the AP files in which it states that any files outside of the .ap file will take precedence over those held in the .ap file. Well this may well be the case, BUT I just wrote an application to unpack all of the .ap files to place the contents in their normal fi...

Re: Kent High Speed to Sheerness
For the same reason, we have never seen the Portsmouth Direct Line network completed by anybody because there is no way to do it legally. Send it to RSC. See if they would be willing to push it out as an update/extension. They won't do it I fixed some of the issues with London to Brighton (missing ...

That made me laugh! Very true.Fodda wrote:RSC mentioned years ago that they'd fix the 101 and 111 revving problems, and the WCML-N buffer problems amongst other things... I wouldn't hold your breath.

Re: Kent High Speed to Sheerness
RSC mentioned on their Facebook page some months ago that it's their intention to extend this route at some point. Let's hope so. It seems odd to lay track and not put the scenery in. One of the toughest and most time consuming tasks is track laying.

Re: Amending Scenario Start Location
DAve, Thanks for that - marvellous. Yes, I did follow it through and understood it. Don't want to seem ungrateful, but as I hadn't got far with my scenario I redid it with the right start location. Still, your solution is there for posterity and it will be a lifesaver for someone. Thanks again bruc...

Re: Amending Scenario Start Location
I can successfully amend the various scenario opening parameters, time of day, season etc in the top right-hand flyout, but not the start location. Do you mean the position of the camera when the route loads? If so just move your scenario Icon to where you want it. Yes it can be quite tedious on la...

Re: Train Simulator 2014 - 26th September
As much as I welcome any enhancements I'd describe this as a bug-fix rather than a new feature. I do hope there are some improvements to the dispatcher that will be announced. It is very good but I'd love it if we could have AI trains running round stock and it being properly able to handle specific...

Re: Scenario/AI routing issues.. Please help.
Can't even do simple loopings :( You can. The dispatcher likes to have 6-7 minutes paths so if you want to for example loop a player freight train to allow an AI express to pass it you need to give it a long enough dwell time at the loop for the dispatcher to be happy. The times are irrelevant when...

What type of train is the player train and where has it come from and going to?

This looks fantastic. One of the few areas of our network that I don't know but have always thought well worth modelling with the sheer volume of freight traffic.

Re: Anti-Aliasing
I've found custom settings to be problematic. I was experiencing SBH errors while driving on a scenario I'd created on WCML North last week which is something I've very rarely experienced. I did the standard cache clearance and verified files and still was getting the same issue. I then reset the gr...

Re: Coupling Problems...
I have experienced this with the Class 33 and the 4-Cig. I have a scenario on the workshop that demonstrates this. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=132038112 thankfully it's at the end so doesn't ruin it. If anyone else experiences the problem please mention it. Hopefully if eno...

Forth Bridge Experience
I stumbled across a current proposal to create a visitors centre at the Forth Bridge and to allow people to climb and or walk it. Seems a fantastic idea to me. More information is here: http://www.forthbridgeexperience.com/
