Have you ever applied the handbrakes during the activity? If you have, they won't release properly.

The last screenshots are from the unfinished section of the route. This will be detailed shortly.

One last big push to finish everything off and correct a few errors. We'd rather avoid having to issue a patch two weeks after release if we can avoid it.

Stephen I'm not an artist (I am a routebuilder), but I know that the complexity of the objects can be as important as the number of objects. This is equally important when it comes to rolling stock, which is why you'll often come across low detail vehicles for placing in sidings. In my experience th...

The answer to your question is no. That prize goes to the Route Editor. :)

I second John's suggestion. It is the most likely cause of the problem.

To avoid problems like this, I avoid Trainstore or similar programs and simply make a copy of the route folder and move the copy to the desktop for safe keeping. I normally back up every day while route building, but don't often back up the whole route folder, as this would use up too much hard disk...

Just finished the final activity tonight (56 in total). Mike and I have a few bits of detailing to finish off, but otherwise it's just a matter of testing and sorting out any errors that we get. I posted a few screenshots the other day on the Screenshots forum (on the same thread as someone else's C...

Imagine the Cambrian rebuilt and extended by the same route builders and artists who made the Swanage route. Beautiful Cambrian scenery, but detailed to the same standard as Swanage all the way from Pwllheli and Aberystwyth to Shrewsbury. Add to that the route from Buttington to Oswestry, Llanfyllin...

There are good cabviews with the Cambrian and Swanage add-ons. Cambrian 2 will have 101s and 108s, both with proper cabs, if you can wait.

I spend far longer in the sim than I should for my health and sanity (not to mention relationship), but most of it is spent working on a new route or activity. When I am in the cab, I'm usually testing the route or the latest activity. I don't really regret this - I'd become bored with driving by Se...

You need to stop precisely at the reverse point when moving out of the siding. If you overshoot, you lose your path. You'll know that you're ok if you get a second reverse point as you back into the platform. When you reach this second reverse point, the starting signal will clear. I'm afraid that i...

Barmouth

After seeing some excellent screenshots recently of GWR locos in Mid Wales, I was inspired to upload a few of my own. They are taken from an activity that I've just written and feature Mogul 6342 running light from Barmouth to Barmouth Junction (Morfa Mawddach) to turn on the triangle prior to retur...
