Okay - I found it myself. Here's the link for the Beta Downloader
http://www.uktrainsim.com/betatest.php
You will, however, need the File ID for each download you want. I have found it worked for me and is very quick! (It certainly "floats my boat!")

UKTrainsim com advertising - anyone else getting lock-ups?
I made the mistake of setting UKTrainsim.com as my Home Page. Unfortunately, before you log in, three adverts now pop-up straight away - 1 from ebay, 1 form Accucard and 1 advertising Pirates of the Caribbean. The code in these pop-ups seems to have been "doctored" to stop "No-Ads" from squashing th...

If you register with this board, there are quite a few "Flight Sim Techies" there who may be able to help. I've racked my brains 'cos I have seen threads on this before - indeed I had the problem, but solved it with Direct X 9.0.

Hawker Siddeley 748, De Havilland Rapide, De Havilland Heron, Vickers Vanguard, Vickers Viking, Vickers Viscount - not a jet among my favourites!!! For Downloads, http://www.avsim.com and http://www.simviation.com (http://www.flightsim.com gets very busy unless you buy their First Class subscription!)

As I work at Gatwick as British Airways Ground Staff, I was keen to photograph aircraft (up until 09/11). (You have always needed permission to take photos airside, but the security boys and girls used to "turn a blind eye" to my digital camera - until 09/11 that is!) I love flying FS2004 with the h...

Glad you're nearly there John - As it's been such a marathon download, I hope you're not disappointed when you run it! (Please bear in mind it's Phase 1 - there's a fence out of place at Newton St Cyres, the traffic includes vehicles that wouldn't have been around in the 60's and Barnstaple Junction...

Pity the total download using the Helper is a mammoth 104MB .......Funny, when I look at the list of dependancies, I don't recall having used all that many! I wish I could burn 'em on to a CD for you, but this new "Download Helper" thingy doesn't let you store the cdp files anywhere now! If I find ...

Trainz - North Devon Route (Exeter - Ilfracombe) uploaded
I've uploaded my North Devon (former LSWR) route on the Trainz Download Station. I won't upload to uktrainsim purely because it uses "dependancies" which can be located through the Trainz Download Station! I have attempted to create the atmosphere of the railway as it was in the 1960's (before 3rd O...

I sort of agree. I like Surveyor and it's ease of use (and it doesn't crash!), but you still can't touch MSTS for realistic-looking track and scenery. I won't totally ditch Trainz, 'cos I'm close to building my LSWR line (something I've kept crashing out of MSTS) but MSTS will always remain the stro...

I am told that the files you download are saved within the TRS2004 folder - though where I don't know! You'll probably have to get your dad to install TRS2004 on his computer - just so that you can register on-line. The files, when downloaded, will have a *.cdp extension (normally the KUID number eg...
