It has fences & hedgerows from 10m to 100m lengths and works quite well.
I also adapted the autogantry feature in RE to automatically build lineside fencing along my route which helps laying long lengths.

Steve

I used TSM to build my objects for the Talyllyn route and just installed GMAX to see the comparisons but not yet created anything in anger. My first impressions would be that TSM is quicker to get the hang of and is fine for simplistic shapes of buildings etc. (Arches for bridges being a particular ...

Steve, I'd be happy to e-mail you the files. Can you update your profile with an e-mail addy? Regarding using real engine sounds I have been working on a set, but have some way to go yet in perfecting them. The main issue is that it seems a huge amount of editing of the sound files is needed, and i...

Re: 2 cyl and 3 cyl generic sounds
Thanks for taking the time to give some feed back Martin. The 1a & 1b sounds are from the original 380's sound set so I just used them as they could be made to work. I've had a go at slowing down the 2 sounds and have managed to get something reasonable. I'll e-mail them to you if you wish (there's...

Steve Will the new version also be 2x length? At the moment, if you run at 15mph, the train appears to be moving only 7.5 mph (because of its scale). If you speed up so that the Track Monitor says 30mph, the train appears to be moving at 15mph, but you now arrive everywhere early. Martin Martin - y...

Talyllyn Ver 2
I'll wait till Version 2.0 then, as if it is out before i get the CD then there is not much point getting the CD, as all i need to do is download the Stock and Activitys. Don't hold your breath for Version 2. I don't expect to release it until next year - it is a complete rebuild not just a f...

Talyllyn Halts
The answer is NO, i'm afaid. I could not get the exact references on the map I was working from and since there's little more than a gate or sty to indicate the halts I didn't bother. Ver 2 will have them in as I'm getting some really useful info and help form members on the railway now. I'll also w...

Talyllyn V1.5 Patch???
At present, my intention is to offer Talyllyn v1.5 only as a CD version. I don't think a patch is a viable option as I made a large number of changes to the route incl sidings, scenery, objects etc and would make a patch extremely large. A complete new install would be the only practical solution, h...

I've tried unsuccessfully to do this in TSM but bounding boxes is the answer. There is a good explanation somehwere on the UKTRAINSIM forum. Try a search. I'll see if I can find the reference in my emails when I get home. If you do succeed -- please let us know, I desperately need to sort these out ...

Ok, I can get down from my soapbox. I had a prompt response to my email to Ries where he aplogised for uploading the route. It seems he forgot to ask permission during his recent tidy up of his website. From your comments this appears to be genuine and I'm therefore very happy to let him cont...

Distribution Of Routes
Hi I've just learnt that my Talyllyn Route has been uploaded to a Dutch website for distribution without the webmaster seeking permission to do so. I feel that this is "bad practice" and have emailed my feelings to the web site concerned " http://www.msts.nl/ ". On reflection I'd like to know the fe...

Martin has said it all beautifully in his reply and I have to agree with his view on the visual effect the true NG scale models give. I tried it near the end of my build and saw the effect. BTW - I found that modelling a real narrow gauge railway demanded the use of dynamic track to follow the real ...
