Do a search on this site for UK Crossings. You should find the patch you need.

Hi I'd thought I'd just concur with everything that Kevin has said wrt to NG routes that use his locos. If you get hold of the Talyllyn route (preferably the single file download or better still a copy of the CD) you'll find that all it takes to get the route and rolling stock working on your MSTS i...

Derailments in The Talyllyn Route

I've had a number of emails from people who have installed the Talyllyn Route only to find that there is a "derailment issue" when entering the Pendre sheds area. The cause is actually due to users having the wrong TSection.Dat file installed in the Talyllyn Route as a result of using XTracks ( and ...

Hi - email me at msts.talyllyn@btinternet.com and I'll send you an email which explains how to resolve your problem with the track. Hi - since when has Trainz supported steam ???

Are you one of those lucky BETA testers for them or have I missed an upgrade or two??....... :P

Lack of steam was one of the reasons I haven't pursued Trainz even though I bought it early in their release program

UK Level Crossing Gates

Hi
Does anyone know if there is a set of the old style UK Level Crossing gates ( the ones that had real bars and a big red disk in the middle) available for MSTS??

There is an ACE file for these in the default S&C but I can'r find the associated shape file .

Thanks in advance.

Try a search for a site called BVEHELPER. I can't remember the address myself but the site has a 5 stage tutorial for writing a route for BVE and covers all these CSV issues. I downloaded the pages and printed them out. I'm not sure about B3D files but it may do. I'll see if I can find the helpful f...

The preference file must be stored in C:\program Files\TSTF - I think?? I had problems get the preferences file to hold data in an earlier version until I created a folder path as above so I may still be the case. Try downloading the latest ver from this site - do a search for terraform and you shou...

Hi
I think there's a XL spreadsheet out there that gives a detailed list of what each track section is for.
I think I d/l it from Train-sim-Com. Try a search there.

Chris Lay the track curving to the left, press T and then it will reverse and go to the right !! If it's not as you want it, remember to press T again, make the adjustment and then press T again. If you make adjustments without pressing T, you'll lose the rail joint and screw up the section you're l...

Guys, All is now clear ! This problem is either due to gaps (probably just 1 pixel wide) in the contours you have drawn OR a problem with TSTF's interpolator missing the presence of a particular pixel, during the final Fill process. Whilst the interpolator, as I have said, does still have defects, ...

Mick
I've attached a screencapture of a typical area of interpolation showing the problem. It's not the only example in this fill that has occurred.
Hope this helps

Tearing of Landscape

Hi Mick I've successfully used TSTF in the past to create the Talyllyn route and have just set out to start Ver2 of the route with a more accurate terrain profile. I've just finished a small area to test the latest version 471 and have found very bad "tearing" of the landscape after interploation. T...
