Putting it on a VPC just now but I won't be trying out any games on it.

Re: Cattle, Horses & Carriages

Oddly i was thinking earlier about stuff like this. Its very good conversion indeed. What i was thinking earlier was the fact that alot of the RS train stations seem very baron and sterile. They lack any type of clutter sign boards, flower tubs, baggage trollies, post bags. The list is endless to w...

Re: A few items

And now a more ornate Bandstand, it is based on the shape of the Magdalen Green Band Stand in Dundee.
The main diversion from the prototype is the styling of the surrounding fence.

Re: Coming Soon to RS: ScaleRoad

Any chance of some UK paint versions to go with the left hand traffic patterns?
You know, white central lines rather than yellow.

Menu systems a bit abnormal on the usability front,

Clicking on the menu name gives you the main page while the drop down options are the sub pages.

Re: Apologies.

Drivers missing is largely to do with manufacturers of devices refusing to support their older kit on newer OS. This happened with the move from Win 3.1 to Win 95, from Win ME to Win XP and again from Win XP to Vista And will happen again between Vista and "7" My old Soundblaster card won't work on ...

Re: Apologies.

Hi Niall I do not know if this is correct but someone told me that anyone buying a Vista operating system is entitled to a free copy of XP if they would prefer to have that installed instead. There might be an argument for buying a new computer but installing XP under this option until Windows 7 co...

Re: Apologies.

When I first got RS i was annoyed at it for crashing my computer after 2 mins though thought the graphics even in basic settings were superb. I then realised the funny beeping i got before the crash was my Video cards overheating warning. Bought an AGP X1950, Overheating solved and even better graph...

Re: Solario Arrives

No crew problem here but as everyone else has reported the front bogie doesn't pivot. Whether it's something Pete has missed or is just failing to work only Pete can confirm. Another Excellent model from Peter! p.s. I just tested 44826 on the same bit of my route and I don't see the front bogie on i...

Re: The best of British Train Journeys

Pity about the time of year, as you could have taken loco hauled up the West coast to Fort Bill from Preston, ok so it would be a 90 then a 66 with a carriage change at Waverly but it's still loco hauled! Just now it would be Rannoch for Sunrise.... Unit to Mallaig The MV Loch Nevis (MV Courisk wint...

Re: Is RailSim too complex?

If find it amusing people complain about the way KRS does objects, it is a reasonably good solution to the problem everyone had in MSTS that you had to have too many duplicates of objects. The blueprinting system is a lot simpler than the configuration files in MSTS, but everyone is getting scared b...

Re: The best of British Train Journeys

Had calmac not ended the trip of the Small Isles ferry up to Kyle you could have done Glasgow to Edinburgh Via the West Highland and the Kyle quite easily. I couldn't find evidence of a bus that does Mallaig to Kyle in a Day either. However I think you do it with a stop over at Broadford. Open B&B's...
