Re: Checking Scenarios

That's correct in that it's showing the file path for the reskin. If you look at the zip file for the reskin you will see that Richard has named the engine folder NSE_0 which is what RW Tools is showing.

Re: Driving a Class 86

A bit more challenging than some locos, but once you get the hang of it it's fun to drive.

Re: JT South Devon Mainline

I really should know better than to encourage you Ash.... I do planning for a living. One of our customers today, in response to a decision refusing his application to fell a tree that was subject to a preservation order, asked me if I genuinely knew what a tree was. I responded that after 3...

Re: Railroad engineers perspective of TSW

I must admit that I find this continuing lets defend DTG versus lets rubbish DTG and the goading from each side that goes with it rather tiresome.

Re: Honest opinion and a couple of questions.

Reminds me of the early days of Rail Simulator which I bought when it first came out. Despite having a decent system it wouldn't run without constantly crashing, so much so I gave up on it and stuck with MSTS. It wasn't until around a year and some updates later that I came back to it, found it ran ...

Re: Idleing powerless diesel

To stop it providing power you could try taking a copy of the loco simulation.bin file, rename it to something like simulation_np, change the MaxPower, MaxForce, MaxContinuousForce and MaxPowerAtRail values to 0, save it and then point the .bin file of your idling loco to this new "no power" simulat...

Re: Class 175 Power Notches

From a reply on the AP Facebook page to the same question:

"In reality though, notch 3 and 4 are no different. There is an emergency mode that can be activated for a little extra power in notch 4 but we chose not to simulate this as it's rarely used in reality."

Re: TSW - Train Sim World

This is all speculation until DTG confirm or otherwise that TSW will be an open platform, although it would be odd if they decide not to continue the successful business model of TS for the new sim.

Re: TS2017 freezing PC

I sometimes have the problem that when TS crashes and freezes even right clicking TS in the taskbar doesn't work and when I bring up Task Manager I can't click on the TS entry using the mouse. I found the secret is to use the arrow key on the keyboard to highlight TS and then use the keyboard delete...

Easilyconfused wrote: Once you hit the logon button you are using HTTPS and the same applies in the forums.
On my set up IE, Chrome and Firefox all show both sites as HTTP (not HTTPS) when logged on, whilst other sites such as Just Trains are shown as HTTPS. Seems very odd given the above staterment.

Re: Chrome and HTTP warnings?

So basically all Google are doing is advising you when a site is not using HTTPS, which seems reasonable enough.

Re: 325 and their drags

Many moons ago I can remember them at York in the late afternoon being dragged Southwards by a Class 90. They would normally stop briefly at Platform 3 and then be on their way.
