For anyone running Microsoft Office 2013 and Malwarebytes and you find Office hangs since the update you will find that Malwarebytes is probably the culprit. Turning off protection for Word, Excel etc. from within the program (if you want to risk it) fixes the problem until Malwarebytes issue a fix....
