Ffestiniog Rly single fairlie "Taliesin"

[album 22534 taliesin1.jpg]

First test run of Taliesin. Not sure how it got to Nant Gwernol though.
A lot of work still to do on it, including improved texturing.

Martin,
At the moment no but I might possibly be tempted to have a go at a loco if track were availble. Mind you it would only be a sideline. I still have to finish off all the Ffestiniog (and talyllyn, whr etc!!!).

Definately broad gauge.
As Martin says we have a decent narrow gauge setup (in 2 scales) that appears to look and work ok. So to a degree more narrow gauge would be a bit of a duplication.
We do not have any broad gauge, however, and this is something that is needed.

Chris,
If you are using std msts track then dynamic track is available what ever texture you use. It is only when you use the "proper" narrow gauge track that you lose the ability to use dynamic track.
(btw, did you get chance to try dolgoch?)

The narrow gauge texture was originally designed to be used with the standard gauge track but it can be used with the narrow gauge track from this site. It will have to be renamed though (cant remember the name offhand)

No Indication of new posts

Matt,
I don't seem to get any indication of unread posts on the new forum. ( I'm presuming that unread posts should be coloured orange?)
Everything is just plain grey.

In all fairness I have to point out that the track package and points patch is the work of Tim Bridges and the route is ,of course, by Steve Pontin.

I should have "pointed" this out on my previous message.

Hi Chris,
If you have a photo of the disabled van do you think you could send me a copy?

I haven't forgot your plans but have a dodgy back at the mo and haven't been able to dig them out. Will try tommorow.

Hi David, Thanks for the comments and making out the list. There are a couple of more items to add to the list :- 1) Merddin Emrys(1879) This is the loco as built with semi open cab and earlier style sandpots. 2) FR coaches no 15 & 16. Coming soon should be a collection of 4 wheeled Talyllyn coaches...

To complement Steve's superb route I have just uploaded an updated version of the Talyllyn Rly loco no 1 "Talyllyn" to the site.
This version comes complete with "added specularity"

Chris,

Since when did they move the Talyllyn to Norfolk?
