Kev I like your NG track texture but I'm 'drawn' towards Tim's smaller scale. I've also read about Paul's many track packages. Tim's readme does infer that it is 'in its infancy' and might contain errors. If I want to create a route, stock etc. the scale needs to be certain from the outset. I don't ...

Well .... if its any help .... apart from the 'night' thing .... interiors, lack of, are no a problem as far as I'm concerned. A lot of empty seats would be very depressing for Virgin PR people. Our local model railway club chairmen is one of those 'a Virgin spokesman said' people. Lots of 'smiley' ...

Them light clusters right on the 'corners' moulded round in 3 dimensions will take some doing.

Difficult to get that glazed effect with a solid but a tranparency would leave a hole.

I look forward to seeing how you do it  .

Could any one give me a run down of NG track available or available in the near future.

I obviously need to decide on a scale before starting anything  .

The Talyllyn had a rope incline which served Abergwnolwyn and amonst other things took away 'night soil' and hauled it up the hill to be dumped along the track. The Corris ran alonside a wall which had openings which could deliver coal to individual houses if I remember right? Chris Great idea lok f...

Bletchley Leisure Centre is again holding model railway exibitions. Been to the Expo EM today. Its on tomorrow as well if anyone's interested. MSTS and some 'inferior and overpriced' add-on on sale  . I did my my bit, extolling the virtues of MSTS amongst MKMRS club members but was met by 'glaz...

All I meant was that a representation which gave the feel of the real thing would be very popular and I'm sure Buffy could achieve this with ease given his previous models  .

Look 'ere While you're writing reviews and getting all those 'freebies' you could be telling us poor *ods how to make models  . A 'bubbly and well endowed' young lady tried to sell me an add-on to MSTS in 'Electronics Boutique' yesterday. I don't buy 'em I said .... I make 'em .... for nothing ...

Just loked at the site .... brilliant!

The plans and some of the pictures for the Voyager have appeared in Modern Railways which CJM has an interest.

Should be enough for Buffy to model one if we are not too fussy about it being millimetre perfect.

A definate thanks to those who suggested using animation. Despite everything you're told, if its a loco designate it as such and put the animation to the number of sides of wheel rim plus one. In my case 17 and it works  . I know its a free update but surely someone could update the tutorial ...

That was from a standing start on a S&C hill  . They appear to have had a standard Gardner bus engine and them old double-deckers could only reach about 30 mph with the wind behind them  . Put it on the relative flat and it ticks along quite nicely. Personally I like routes on which yo...

There's a lot of stuff with it which you can use to solve problems by looking to see how they were built which is useful up to a point. I've still found that even following these it doesn't guarantee success. The help file has more information than the booklet but still is unable to answer all of th...
