To demonstrate this I pulled one of the more bizarre ones out of the library and applied it to your account - it dates from the Dear Diary days way back. I can change you back to the regular caption (ranking) on request. That takes me back :) There was a long running thread on silent chickens. As f...

At the risk of being controversial . . . . Things like The Great North Run really hack me off ! ! :x People dressed as sunflowers, donkey etc all being very worthy . . And then the BBC actually thinks it's worth three hours of my licence money to give these people air time ! ! ! Agreed, although th...

as a simulator BVE is sadly lacking, what you see and hear is excellent but thats all, you cant do an awful lot with it, having said that i had many happy hours with it. i am not sure if this question has been asked but how compatable or backward coplient will MSTS2 be with MSTS1? if the stock and ...

Kuju produced no add-ons for MSTS (to my knowledge). Yet RSDL have already produced several in a year, as well as two patches, with more shown to be on its way. Kuju Deltic :) Most preferred Mark Shipman's model although they were both good models built in different styles. The cab was popular as i...

IMHO what railsim needs is a lot of different content - particularly more modern image stuff, us steam enthusiasts have been very lucky with the current releases - and modern enthusiasts have been relegated to one or two payware models only. I'm not going to spout the pro's and con's of payware, I ...

Had a rummage and if it's of any interest, in 1952, 1955 and 1959, 46233 was allocated to 5A Crewe :) Post-war, the Coronation class loco's were allocated between 1B, 5A, 8A, 12A and 66A, Camden, Crewe, Liverpool, Carlisle and Glasgow. That was probably the case in LMS days. 1B, Camden, was the shed...

I watched the programme and found it entertaining. Bit of an advert for Private Eye. A great deal of politics as if comparing the 1960's to now. The 'rose-tinted glasses' of railway enthusiasts suggesting lines stay open for reasons of national and social cohesion appeared a bit daft. Passengers too...

Nice to see a survivor in an industry dominated by large groups with a pride in it's heritage :)

Here's possibly the daddy of them all though in terms of age and continuous family ownership which has made it an icon of the bus industry.

The question I'd ask is whether the vast majority of people buying what is sold as, with and is a game, want to sit in a cab for hours or have a virtual railway with all the gimmicky animations we saw even in BA's Severn Valley Railway? The reaction to both with the demise of Trainmaster, BVE remain...

Get Helen Willets of the BBC Weather Forecast before she explodes!

The woman is clearly giving birth to a small village.

Turn sideways and The Midlands disappear.

Who at the Met Office has been getting every female BBC weather presenter pregnant for years? :)
