Seriously. The one time I tested the washer and it was empty I had a fitter within 5 minutes.

especially if they are incapable of checking the windscreen washer fluid level.
The washers are never empty. As soon as it is reported a fitter comes out and fills them.

Under Staffed? Very. Our Drivers are leaving for greener pastures. DOO and all that. The windscreen thing is DOO related as well. It's called a cyclops light.

To be honest, I don't know why they put it up there.

We use it to show when a train has power related problems (it goes out.) I think pretty much all new stock has it though.

Does anyone know why there are day and night running lights on modern stock ? Why does it consist of only 1 headlight at a time ? Day running is on the right hand side of the train. This makes it easier to spot on left hand bends :) Night running is on the left as not to dazzle oncoming trains. The...

Also if I remember correctly it had a better choice of british pre-grouping steamers including GER claude hamiltons! Not that you could tell the difference with the iconic graphics!
