Re: Changing WCMLN track
Awesome. Only thing we need is a repaint so the ballast matches the track bed. Hmmmmmm. Exactly, Bill. The camber looks great in small stations, but when seen against a wider expanse of track bed, the contrasting colors look, IMHO, awful. I think Mike Simpson did a greyish makeover that might blend...

Re: Changing WCMLN track
NEED : RW_Tools and the Camber track.. (No clue where you get this. I've had it since Railworks 1) FYI This track will have no winter textures.. With a little digging I found this link (in this thread: http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?f=314&t=100786) to the original camber tracks: http://...

Re: WCML North 2012 Update
Sunday madness produces loss of keyboard control at Motherwell Because I've lost keyboard control multiple times on the B-E, which is a much less demanding route than WCMLN, I totally expected it to happen at Motherwell on the Sunday Madness run. But, no -- smooth as silk through the entire scenari...

Re: WCML North 2012 Update
I'm venturing to guess those with crashes (on Win 64) have to be hitting a hardware limitation. VRAM maybe? I get no SBHH errors on the route with everything maxed and 2x2 SSAA. But, when I run a triple headed 30 car consist up the line from Carlisle to Carstairs (specifically in the stretch betwee...

Re: WCML North 2012 Update
I think the chaps at RSC are up to their neck problem solving and building stuff. They haven't updated their own website in over a week.. "Thank you for emailing Railsimulator.com Support. We are sorry that you are having problems, but we will endeavour to respond to your email as soon as possible....

Re: WCML North Disappeared
Since the update my copy of WCML-N has disappeared from TS2012! First thing I did was verify the cache, done that, and still isn't there! Steam knows I have it, as I wont let me buy it again. Shaun, I had the same problem after Steam updated WCML. It simply disappeared from the in-game routes list....

Re: WCML North 2012 Update
Unresponsive keyboard is not an 86/WCML bug - I get it absolutely everywhere. Yeah, this is most definitely not specific to the 86 or WCML. I've had it many times on B-E in the 150. If it was only a problem with the keyboard not working it would be bearable until RSC fixes it ... but in most situat...

Re: WCML North 2012 Update
For me the update seemed to run, but was over in a flash. When I checked the Class 86 default folder, it had not been updated -- even after rebooting the rig. And, sure enough, the route didn't even appear in RW3. Did a verify cache; 425 files had to be fixed. Now all seems well, except I have to ag...

Re: Weird class 47 problem
If you want to fix the cab view problem and also dress up your Class 47 repaints with RW3 features (rain/wipers, projected headlights, and zhubuntu's cabin light), here's a little tutorial I did:

Re: US Route DONNER PASS
Bill After six posts criticising the Donner Pass route, I reckon you've made your point, don't you? As has been said before recently, by both members and moderators, there's a point where such negativity becomes repetitive and very tiresome. OK - you don't like the route and, for that matter, I too...

Re: Annoying Railworks 3 problem
I've actually been having the problem recently, I thought it was my GPU playing up but I limited my FPS via the steam launch options and since i've done that, I haven't had a problem. How do you go about doing this? [album 223659 RW_settings.jpg thumblink] On an hour-long run from Carlisle to Carst...

Re: UKTS Freeware Packs vs. existing assets
rolling stock packs install to their original location and will overwrite existing files that have a file date older than what the pack contains. <snip> However the decision to install the packs is yours and you are likely to loose some of your custom edits if you do. Jim, thanks for this important...
