Just too add to what martin has said, before MSTS I had no interest in foreign stuff. When Kuju put together the simulator they ensured that every route would a unique and completely different driving experience, (no I do not work for M$) and each is well worth trying. I now have an appreciation of ...

I had a girlfriend who was obsessed with Pokesdown. Then theres that welsh station in Anglesea with the name that probably translates into something like "place that has an impossibly long name that no one can pronounce because we had to think of something to pull the tourists in" And of course the ...

Did anyone else notice Lennox Lewis dedicating his recent victory over Mike Tyson to the BRITISH football team. i nearly choked on my coffee. However, since he had just beaten seven bales of s**t out of Mike Tyson I think he can be forgiven. I will admit one thing though IBK, you lot have got the be...

Being English, naturally I would like to see us thrash the Welsh and Scots at everything. However, if a Welsh or Scottish team played anyone else in the world I would back them. They may be a bunch of English hating zealots BUT they are "our" bunch of English hating zealots. Mind you, The English ha...

Cheers for the feedback. I wrote the activity and did not include any failed signals, furthurmore, I have run the activity several times without problem. I had just crossed from the slow to the fast line so maybe somehow that triggered it. I think it is probably one of those wonderful little idiosyn...

Its OK Eddie, tongue is planted firmly in cheek. Of course, for that proper model railway "feel" you will have to modify the eng. file so that the loco does 0 - 300 mph in a fraction of a second and stop again as fast. oh and I forgot, we need a virtual"upturned shoebox with holes cut in it" tunnel....

failing trains

Is it just my install or does anybody else have trains just "fail" from time to time. Driving ECML 3/1m just now I hjad just left Peterborough, driving 55 021 when for for no apparent reason my train slowed and halted, refusing to move another inch. Eventually I quit the activity and was informed th...

So let me get this right. Microsoft/Kuju risked millions of pounds to bring us the most realistic train simulator the world has ever seen, with scale length routes, lifelike physics ect, creating the biggest threat the model railway industry has ever faced(even if they dont know it yet) and now you ...

Suddenly I feel really, really old. I haven't got over the demise of the Deltics yet and now the "modern stuff" is being pensioned off.

Ah well, at least the 37's and the 47/57's look to be around for a while yet.

Its nice to see these locomotives being given a new lease of life and it does look lovely.
Surely they have got to call one "Thunderbird 1".
Does anyone know what sort of use the 57's will be put to now that everywhere seems to be getting voyagerised?

I guess that "going north" has far more important things to do (like work on his route) than spend time on an over elaborate
website.
