Re: Steam4me access ????

The new site is looking so tidy :) Some tutorials i want aren't available yet but already it looks like the help i need will be so much easier to find. I wish i was as clever and dedicated.
How do you bend a true tube in TSM? :D I still haven't worked it out.

Re: Available DEM data

Hi Alistair,
Have a look at http://dds.cr.usgs.gov/srtm/version2_1/SRTM3/. Open the Eurasia file(assuming you want the uk) and download the files you need e.g. the south west is N50W001 etc to a temp folder. They're .hgt files but once unzipped, Demex can read them without any problems.

Hi Tony, I didn't realise the patch had the wrong read-me until you brought it up. :( . I've edited the description in the download to stop (hopefully) more confusion.

Re: BTB Route / Black Country 1 / Activity :- A SUMMER SATU

Hi Paul, a quick look at your spec and i'd say it is 2x as powerful as mine and should cope with the route pretty easily. One thought, normally i only have one route 'live' at a time. All the others are stored in a folder which i call 'routes-unused'. The last couple of days, i've also had Dorset Co...

Re: BTB The Bankers Gambol Activity

Hi Michael Martin Pope made this activity. I'm having a little rest. No route building, dabbling with another activity but mainly just 'playing'. Cant understand problems but maybe some of your stock has got changed over time? I've started to re-build my trainset as it had so much old stuff that has...

Re: BTB The Bankers Gambol Activity

Hi Michael, Stay in the 9f. I haven't finished it yet,(heading towards Worcester :) ) but if you're quick at the top of the climb, rather than stopping, try un-coupling on the run . use F9 to find your loco at the back of the train . Took me a couple of goes so save near the top. If you get it right,...

Re: Bristol to Birmingham Route, Bath GP - Bristol

Hi steve, try the 'a bankers frolics'( not my activity) really fun and if you're quick with the 'tab' and have F9 up to un-couple, you can watch the ai going off into the distance as your stopping. Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Bristol to Birmingham Route, Bath GP - Bristol

hi steve, thought i'd tested everything backwards and forwards ( tsect's and bin versions) but this one slipped through. You need tsect 41.
I just keep 41 installed all the time now although 38 is backed up somewhere in case i need it.

Re: BTB Route / Black Country 1 / Activity :- A SUMMER SATU

Hi Paul, If you're running BC1 as a mini route. Click the run shortcut, then ok for the mini loader, then un store all. minimize tha BC screen. Go to wherever BC1 installed. Mine is Drive C/bc1_mini Route/train simulator. Scroll down until you find the trains folder, open up the consists folder and ...

Re: A_Summer_Saturday

Hi. Thanks creating an apk file is the easy part - in activity editor, simply select File, package activity and you tell it where to save it and you're done :-) I must have looked at that drop-down a 1000 times and never connected it. A lot easier than my long winded way, but i still don't think i'l...

Re: A_Summer_Saturday

Hi Ian, I run my MSTS basically the same as yours. i. e 1 route, 1 trains folder with some routes sharing. I find it just keeps the trainset folder manageable when trying to make new consists and i don't need to use trainstore which i find totally confusing except in easy store and it doesn't give m...
