Re: BTB Charfield – Stuck in Goods Shed Siding

Hi Paul, I'm leaving the Brake van +3wagons in the loop. When reversing to the goods shed, as soon as the reverse point disappears, i uncouple the 4 vans. Don't blame you if you give up. Some of the activities on Black Country and Kingsbridge gave me the sort of problems your having and i gave up on...

Re: BTB Charfield – Stuck in Goods Shed Siding

Hi Paul, one last idea which worked for me this morning. I stopped just past the level crossing, dropped off the 4 vans, and then got back ok.Tripped the reverse point when the loco was on the level xing. Another way which i haven't tried is to stop when the brake van is on the level xing. That shou...

Re: BTB Charfield – Stuck in Goods Shed Siding

Hi Paul, [quote="paulco now stuck again.Cannot get passed small red signal in siding, .[/quote] Yep, i did that :D . Make sure when you go into the loop, you stop past the siding signal (i lined up the 4th wagon with the signal) That way the gaurds van should still block the main line but you can re...

Re: BTB Charfield – Stuck in Goods Shed Siding

Hi Paul, Managed it this morning eventually after 3 goes from a save just before Charfield. I arrived at charfield about 10.02. Stop in the loop with the third wagon level with the siding signal and the brake van nearly still on the main line, uncouple the last four wagons, shunt to the goods yard, ...

Re: BTB Sharpness Goods Activity Train Won’t Move.

Hi Paul, whats your boiler pressure. I saved just approaching charfield and when i went back to the activity i ground to a halt at 130psi. Spent 10 mins of trying to get the pressure back up before giving up. Will prbably change the loco before trying it again as it takes over 1 hour to get to charf...

Re: Smoke Effects

Hi Peter, Jon's probably right about resources.
I've used quite a bit of stock from Black Country when making activities for BTB. With the player loco + about 12 ai loco's and stock all's ok, but over that any increase in ai equals less smoke and eventually none :(

Re: Bris Brum whiteout

Hi Andy My questions are, Is it absolutly nessacary to install patch 2 or can i manage without? Andy The simple answer is you don't need it, unless you want to run the route in the snow. If you do the 3 UKFS textures have to go into the global textures folder+ the other 2 in the route snow texture f...

Re: Shape descriptions

Hi, I think the only one that exists comes with the download and gives basic points and slip layouts. The forums help a bit, but with junctions i tend to cheat a bit and use a route like DC, find a junction type i want to use and write down each track section. Build it in a 2 tile test route for saf...

Hi clive, is this rstools ( http://www.rstools.info/Public/W_Replacements.zip ) for RS ( Rail Simulator ) or MSTS.
Its a direct link to a zip file that holds the 8 W files for BTB that stops route riter checking the route. Download,un-zip and copy and paste over originals.

Re: BTB Bristol to Birmingham by CLive Heard

Hi Kieran Mike Simpson kindly sorted out the problem with a few W files that stopped Route-Riter working : http://www.rstools.info/Public/W_Replacements.zip. Probably best to use 1.0 patch to correct the dynatrax before over-writing the W files. Everything checks out ok, but it is demanding. With BT...

Re: Feedback and Thanks

PS Still have my torch with me for looking in those darkest recesses of Tesco's warehouses for the dusty copies of MSTS. PPS A thought has just struck me - note it's a positive one - is MSTS still available in America, and if so can copies be imported for use in the UK??? A search of Amazon uk give...

I'm trying my best to free it up in a couple of places without changing any track for maybe next year. My poor system with 1gb is getting a bit stressed as well :)
