Re: For the 'Content Creation' people...
Route buiding :D . I started with the default Settle Carlisle route that I took apart/modified using trial and error. Then worked out demex, then took apart a couple of other routes, then started building my own. I dabble with pretty much all of the other bits of creation: activities, locos, rolling...

Re: Thames Trent V2
Hi All, 7.00 p.m. February 28th 2015 , a notable time in the development of Thames Trent with the final signal added to version 2. Hopefully everything will work as planned and I wont find any major problems in the next few weeks. A couple of grabs of a Market Harborough based G2 leaving Wisbech Si...

Re: Thames Trent V2
Looks brilliant. Something to look forward to. I was hoping to get Kettering - Manton - Nottingham, but this looks so much more! :) Yes, it got a bit bigger than I anticipated. To think that 4 years ago when I started version 1,it was Rick Gibb who asked if I fancied having a go at St Pancras to Be...

Re: Thames Trent V2
Hi All, Another update. The section from Northampton to Yarwell Junction was finished tonight so now it's back to Market Harborough to finish Market Harborough -Seaton-Yarwell Junction. About 20 miles I think. That will leave the last 8 miles into Peterborough as the final section to complete V2. E...

Re: Chiltern Route
Hi martin, Brian beat me to the back to back idea which I was going to suggest. On V1 of Thames Trent I had used too short a section which RE accepted (no invalid track message) but gave a broken path in AE. I can't quite see what the point/crossing formations are but if you have used slips/double s...

Re: Chiltern Route
Hi Martin, I use wyes all of the time and have had no problems (touches wood :) ). Can you isolate each path, one at a time, by temporarily removing pieces of track and 'prove' each path. If it works ok,replace the removed sections and isolate the next path and see if that works, etc,etc.. It might ...

Re: Advice sought re Potteries Loop Line
DMU cab. No problem. Not had a chance to watch all of the video but what i've seen looks good.
I would guess the responses you've recieved so far would indicate there's not really a problem.

Re: Thames Trent V2
Hi all, I've pressing on towards Peterborough after finishing the section of line from Northampton to Wellingborough, London Road. A significant weekend as that completed the route extensions to the west of the MML. The first largish station is Irthlingborough so a couple of grabs. http://i38.servim...

Re: Chiltern Route
Good to have you back :) . At least 1 positive is that a lot of hard work in model building hasn't been lost. I'm not sure if Thames Trent went belly up i'd have the perseverance to re-make on such a scale. Good luck with the re-building and don't forget to regularly touch wood, rub a rabbits paw et...

Re: Road Traffic question please.
Hi Paul, The hardest is the static scenery road vehicles,I still haven't fathomed out how to change them. Route Riter provides a simple solution. 'MSTS File utils' and then 'replace Shapes in W files' . As the vast majority of vehicles will have been made with use in the car spawner in mind, their ...

Hi All, Another 15 miles completed to finish the section from Northampton to Market Harborough. A couple of grabs: G2 49446 departing Lamport Ironstone sidings with a train for Wellingborough Iron Works http://i38.servimg.com/u/f38/18/13/00/60/north_10.jpg Brixworth. http://i38.servimg.com/u/f38/18/...

Re: Thames Trent V2
Hi Michael, Not very clear, but the grabs give an idea of the scale of the sidings I managed to get in at Peterborough. The sidings and loco shed at Peterborough East are there. http://i1184.photobucket.com/albums/z326/casperturk1/UKTS%20FORUM/Petesidings2_zps38d4c30c.jpg http://i1184.photobucket.co...

Re: Glasgow - Carlisle V4
The "expected more files.Package damaged" message usually results from the activity creator having a folder name for the route that is different from the RouteID in the .trk file. Thanks, That's it. Because the installer made a path to the wrong location of my MSTS and I don't like installing direc...

Re: Glasgow - Carlisle V4
hi Andy, The apk is working. I just moved all of the consists out of the consist folder and then ran the apk. 15 consists were installed + the rest of the activity data as far as I can tell. I ran the act through route riter with a clean bill of health and ran the 1st 5 minutes of the act with no pr...

Thames Trent V2
Hi All, A Happy New Year to all. I thought i'd put this topic on UKTS as the end is in sight :) . This is a major expansion, and the route now has approaching 200 stations, 20+ quarries, 30+ coal mines, all of the loco depots that would have existed (I think its about 15 major ones) and of course th...
