Re: Most crowded train you've travelled on.
Yesterday I went on the 11:24 train from Southampton to Bournemouth to go to the Bournemouth Air Show. Even though the train was 2 444s (10 cars), it was standing room only by the time it left Southampton. A few people were even left behind because the train was so congested. At Brockenhurst, New Mi...

Re: Most crowded train you've travelled on.
Although I didn't travel on this particular train, my local paper (the Romsey Advertiser) reported in late 2007 that a train from Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff was only two cars long (one 158), and because there were lots of people on it due to some match at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff, it was ...

Re: Great Western: My review
I agree with you. From what I've read from this and other posts I'll save £20 or so and not bother. Interestingly enough it's more expensive when ordered from EB's own website than from Amazon  . The only other EB route I have is London South Coast. Sorry to digress but when I got it for ...

If you use MSTS v1.2, it includes a BR large-logo class 50.

Most crowded train you've travelled on.
What's the most crowded train you've ever travelled on? Once I travelled on a XC Voyager from York to Southampton Central - it was standing room only from Leeds to Birmingham. If I'd had to stand from Leeds to Birmingham I'd be very angry.

Yes, I'm fairly sure I've followed those instructions. Maybe I need to buy Winzip.

A problem installing New Forest V2
I've downloaded New Forest V2: as per the author's instructions I've downloaded all six files to a temporary folder. However when I try unzipping the last folder I get a message saying "Input file does not exist" and it won't unzip. I don't use Winzip - instead I use a freeware alternative called CA...

Re: Is there a Utility...
Yes, all you do is press F2 while playing the activity to save it. When you next open MSTS, click on the "Load Saved Activity" button, and from the menu you can choose any saved activities. When you load one you start from the point when you saved it.

Well it produces revenue for TfL so what's the big deal. It might stop fares going up.

Re: Grand Central Class 180 enters Passenger Service Aug 18th
But apparently Hull Train's 180s have been extremely unreliable. Although better than the Voyagers in my opinion, they are unreliable units, which I think is one of the reasons why FGW wanted to get rid of theirs.

Also, the scenery is very unrealistic. When I bought it a year ago I was dissapointed that the scenery around Portsmouth was unrealistic - to EB Portsmouth is a dead ringer for Pyongyang!

Re: Grand Central Class 180 enters Passenger Service Aug 18th
Chances are the 180 will break down and hold up the entire ECML.
