Re: Scenery placement in scenarios?

Cheers Marc and Geoff for taking the time to work all that out. I can see plenty of potential for more interesting and varied scenarios now. Please may a moderator sticky this thread.

Thanks :D

Re: Scenery placement in scenarios?

Thanks for the reply Geoff. Is it possible to make any scenery object available to use in scenario, perhaps changing the items .bin file, or copying the file into a particular folder?

Scenery placement in scenarios?

Hi I think that on the RW forum I once read that you can place scenery objects for individual scenarios (presumably in the scenario editor itself). Surely this can also be done in RS too? I have noticed icons for placing scenery items on the pull-out where you select the trains. Any ideas? Thanks Ch...

Re: Streaking Ahead

I'd hazard a guess that the regulator was closed (as it draws to a halt shortly thereafter) and if that is the case, then it's no different from other RW steamers... :-? Lol, inaudible was the wrong word. What I was trying to refer to (epic fail  ) was the beat skipping you mentioned Rik. But ...

Steamy Sounds

For a while now, I've been reading the posts of others discussing the sounds of the payware steam locomotives. It seems from what I've read here and heard on videos that some have been excellent (Hall and Tornado), whereas others haven't been so 'top-notch'. For me though, it isn't just the sound of...

Re: Streaking Ahead

Matt, are the sounds in the latest video representative of the final product? Love the whistle, but the chuffing at high speeds is inaudible (unless it's the video degrading it). May I politely suggest that at high speeds, the sounds be a looped recording, like on MSTS, as they always sound more con...

Re: Ravenglass and Eskdale............

Phew, big long sigh of relief... The msts sounds really don't cut it anymore, stupid when your driving the default Scotsman you would be going at 25 mph and chuff sounds like it's going at 3 mph! To give the models a bit more personality will the whistles be slightly different? I can just remember t...

Re: A Little Bit Of Atmosphere!

I've been thinking of making a reskin of the black 5 to make 45321, like the fusilier. I would have to get permission from Sly to use his original 8F tender to effectively make a late crest tender.

Re: Ravenglass and Eskdale Heritage Stock Pack

Why was Aubrey scrapped? Was it because the engine wasn't strong enough to pull the trains? I know that the atlantics were scrapped for that reason according to a R&ER guidebook I got 10 years ago. Real shame, looked like the 2 of them were very handsome locos. Oh, and at the end is that Muriel A.K....

Re: WIP thread. Anything new for RailWorks.

Well, compare these 4 lms engines: Leander, sutherland, Princess lizzie and royal scot. You will notice that the first 3, owned by different people/trusts have a very similar marroon, whereas royal scot is a bright red - horrid. Considering that the first 3's colour is almost identical to hamilton's...

Re: WIP thread. Anything new for RailWorks.

Looks like this will make do as a duchess, until a proper one comes out - OH NO! Just remembered there's no duchess working anymore.
