Re: nhancer in RW
Thanks for the replies Make sure you have nhancer showing manual and custom profiles in the drop down list is ticked (the one that looks like a funnel)... Yes showing as Customised Profile in nhancer When you go back to look at your nvida control panel does antialiasing now say "custom" Yes I have s...

Re: nhancer in RW
Thanks so much for this thread. I've installed nhancer and downloaded and installed the profile for RW - just a quick question from the slightly technically inept - do I need to uncheck the box that says "Profile can be activated manually.? My graphics are looking good and frame rate seems good alth...

Re: Hard Drive, again...
The most painless way I have found to install a new hard drive ( without having to reload everything ) is to make an image of your hard drive ( I use Acronis True Image ) save the image on to an external hard drive. Then simply install the new hard drive and transfer your disc image from the externa...

Re: Railworks & Windows 7
Re: improvemwnt under 64bit OS My understanding is that RW is a 32bit application and while it runs perfectly in Windows 7 64bit there is no performance gain since the program is not optimised for a 64bit operating system. I think there may have been a slight increase in performance going from XP to...

Re: Railworks & Windows 7
FWIW
I backed up RW in XP 32bit and then installed the backup into Windows 7 64 bit and everything is fine.

Re: Hall sounds.
I don't know if it's my computer or my hearing but the Hall now annoys me because the "tick, tick " sound just dominates everything else. It just seems so loud whether from in the cab, from outside the loco or just watching it go by. Admittedly I have never seen a real Hall in action but I have neve...

Re: Project Platform
What a generous gesture on the teams behalf and a worthy cause - I wish you the utmost success and I will definately be buying as soon as it is released. With regards to the (inevitable, it seems) negative comments I suspect that, like me, the vast majority of RW users are very happy with the produc...

Re: GWR Hall Released on Steam!
I want to buy the Hall add on but when I check the available downloadable content on Steam it's not shown. I've purchased the Stanier 8F and the Jubilee without any problem but I find it somewhat odd that people are purchasing the Hall add on when it's not listed for purchase when I go to the Steam ...

Re: Windows 7 compared to XP
Thanks for the replies - I suppose the main thing is that RW is compatible with Windows 7 and that doesn't seem to be an issue.
I'm getting good frame rates with XP and even if they were to drop a bit RW would still be fine.

Windows 7 compared to XP
I wonder if anyone has run RW on XP and Windows 7 on the same hardware either having upgraded to Windows 7 from XP or perhaps dual boot.
I'm considering upgrading to Windows 7 when it is released commercially and I'm curious whether RW would run the same, better or worse under Windows 7.

Removing name tag
I apologise if this has already been covered but I have not been able to find an answer. I am completely new to RS and have only just begun to enjoy it. My question is how do I get rid of the "Name Tag" that appears as a sort of cartoon type bubble with an arrow pointing down to the train. The graph...
