You should try this with RW-Tools ( http://www.rstools.info/index.html ), there is a scenario editing tab, there You can edit a lot of things of sceanrios, cloning, change times, weather, replace stock, a.s.o.
I think you should test it.

Use RW-Tools. In the Scenario Editor there are possibilities to delete Items (the loco), the whole consist or you can replace the loco with an other.
