I think this stock remains as empty consist in the files.
RW-Tools has an Item to remove empty consists: Scenarios --> Edit scenarios -- Remove empty consist from selected Scenario.

Use the package manager to install .rpk or rpw.
No need to convert anything. All are able to install in RW.
Sometimes objects created for Railsimulator (.rpk) do not look so good because RW uses newer shaders. So look always for Objekt especially created for RW if you have the choice.

Two Questions:
The lock is unlocked ?
Are all files of the Route read/write ?
Because you are installing from an CD so the files are normally locked.
You can set read/write with the explorer or with the famous RW-Tools.

You have not all stock for your route. There is a helpful tool, RW-Tools, avialable here: http://www.rstools.info/rw_tools.html After a testing time please spend a donation to his developer. You can check your routes for missing stock and you can do a lot of other things, you will see. Then ask here...
