Re: Route West Highland Line Extention
Evening all, Well what can I say. I'm blown away by how much work has gone into this route in both the scripting of the loco and route. And the detail along the route is just lovely. Well done to all involved in the making of this addon, your hard work shows just what can be done with this sim... :D...

Re: DTG's Class 56
Hello all, my first thoughts about this one... The good things :- Overall exterior is nice. The slow speed control works well. That's about it... The bad things :- It sits a few inches above the rails. The cab looks like someone spent 5min on texturing it all grey and was happy with it, no attention...

Re: Union Pacific Big Boy V2.0
Well after having a good run around in both the Big boy and Challenger i can firmly say that its up to RSC's usual standards! Rushed and not tested properly! Can anyone else who has purchased the Bigboy V2 addon check to see if the audio files are such a mess of old and redundant folders and referen...

Re: Running RS2013 Flat Out - ideal specs?
Morning chaps, to put my two pence worth in! I've never had any problems with running Railworks in SLI and have done since the start. Its all a question of setting your profile up correctly for the game/application your running. As for instability i have never had any problems there and have built o...

Re: GTX680 or HD7970
PhysX has not been coded to run on the GPU at the moment, yet another minor thing that needs to be sorted out by the good peeps at RSC. As PhysX is an AMD/ATI product, RSC cant do anything about it----it's independant of the game and does run on the GPU , unless you've selected to run it on the CPU...

Re: GTX680 or HD7970
The only (slight) advantage an nVidia card may have over an AMD/ATI one when running Railworks is the ability to run PhysX on the GPU.....not enough of a factor to make nVidia the obvious choice though. PhysX has not been coded to run on the GPU at the moment, yet another minor thing that needs to ...

Re: Odd Wheel values
Well i've just changed the value for the HAA that came with Settle route from 0.45 to 0.546 and so far in a quick test the rotation animation
looks to be a lot better than the default. When coming to a sudden stop the animation matches the wagon movement.
Cheers Mick.

Odd Wheel values
Hello all, could some bright spark out there help me understand the " bogie wheel radius " value. I'll give you the main example that is a bit strange- <WheelRadius d:type="sFloat32" d:alt_encoding="000000C0CCCCDC3F" d:precision="string">0.45</WheelRadius> That is taken from the HAA Wheels.bin file,...

Re: SLI and you.
Have been running 3 way SLI and settings on max in game before TSX 2012 update was 300+ FPS on Wales & Boarders but since the TSX update FPS have dropped to around 180-235 FPS.
On WCML FPS stay around the 150 mark.

Re: PRR K4 - Steam 8th February 2012
Now you mention it, yes - except it's all 3 sets of driving wheels. It's as though they all have independent wheelslip! Impossible in real life as they're all connected together. particulary noticeable at crawling pace! Ah thanks, nice to know i'm not alone with this. Will fire of a email to suppor...

Re: Driving the Class 04 - gear use help
Hello James, There are many odd values in the 04 engine and sim bin files. I have been through it since it was released and corrected many of them. If you have RWTools and you make a back-up of the files first, you need to have a look through them... " Rolling friction " was set way off. along with ...

Re: Train Simulator 2012 (Part 3)
I have emailed RW but has anyone resolved the following problem ? :- I am getting a message displayed constantly in the top left hand corner of my screen since upgrading to TS2012 which says "PHYS X > CPU ". I have a physx graphics card (NVIDIA GTX 460) so I thought it would be better to use physx ...
