Re: Superelevation
Just to exemplify what I mean: Curve to % - 10 Max Angle - 6 http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198010870051/screenshot/596949883984906410/?tab=public Curve to % - 20 Max Angle - 6 http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198010870051/screenshot/596949883984903906/?tab=public Curve to % - 40 Max...

Re: Superelevation
Hmmm. So it seems as though it's basically trial and error then? Logically I'd have thought that the angle was the maximum cant possible, and the % part was the rapidity that the maximum angle was achieved. But is sounds like what you're saying is that this isn't the case. Cheers Bob The angle does...

Re: Superelevation
I had thought/assumed that the easement curve itself would take care of the ends of the SE, which would in theory negate relevance of the length of the straight at either end? I'm still not sure but from what I can tell the cant reached on a curve is not solely based on the radius, certainly when i...

Re: Superelevation
After a whole day laying track with easements (for a very windy route) I have been able to have a little play with the superelevation values. It seems that the curve to percent option in the track rule has perhaps a bigger impact than the max value. Changing this from 20 to 40 made the superelevatio...

Re: [WIP] [Norway] Kongsberg - Hokksund
Looks like the guys at 3Dtog.com have been very busy. The route screenshots look great and having been on holiday to Norway this summer I can't wait to see some of Norway in TS2012!

Re: Some TS2012 Route Creator Information
Thanks Derek, just downloading some of the ASTER GDEM files for my route, good job I waited until TS2012 to start it proper. Thanks for the advice on track rules, I will have a go at refining my own one now.

What if you throw superelevation at this crossover, that's what I'm worried about.hertsbob wrote:
Please could someone try a crossover on curved track? Seems to me the rendering now works correctly whatever you throw at it.![]()

Re: Horseshoe Pass Route
It felt slower, but maybe that was just because I had a massive long train. The scenario's seem to have a lot of stock in them.artisan wrote:how does the route run compared to the "old" routes ?
is it a system hog or does it run nice 'n smooth ?
cheers

Re: Train Simulator 2012 (Part 2)
WOW the asset block works nearly like they should! 100 tree density, or 10000 tree density (when the threes look like a green concrete block :D) ABSOLUTELY not changes the fps. But the size of the block itself does. Bigger block, lower fps no matter how much trees are there. I think it might perhap...

Re: New developer features.
The track rules blueprint has an option for superelevation. No luck so far in trying to get it in game though.

Re: Train Simulator 2012 (Part 2)
Does anyone have any idea how to lay track with superelevation, I have tried every box and easements etc and nothing seems to work? I think you will have to wait for the developer docs, I have a feeling it has to be incorporated in the track rule and is not present in any default track rules. This ...
