Re: Strange Shapes
I noticed some unusual shadow spikes from the 16ton mineral wagons at certain angles. The shadows look as though the wagons have aerials on top.

Re: Somerset and Dorset Rebuild and LMS/GWR Extension
Can I suggest Subversion. This is free software, and can be set up on a server accessed through a URL or FTP, as well as locally. A Windows frontend, like Tortoise which is also free, completes the setup. I started using this software at work, where it replaced PVCS which was getting expensive, and ...

Re: Track Laying Tutorial?
This is the sort of thing that the Wiki would be brilliant for - we can all add our tidbits in the correct section - update them when we find something new, and it should all stay in a logical tutorial format, instead of bits and pieces spread all over the forums.

Latest from the Amabilis forums - Richard now has the Sim and the development tools, and updated specs to work with, and thinks it should be straightforward from here.

Re: I've got it, at last....
The final irony is that is not available when you are driving inside the car - sorry, cab. It is available in the cab view, but you have to press F3 again to get it. Each camera view seems to have its own setup of function key displays, so if you want all the displays on all the views, you first ha...

On the 2D map you can zoom in and out using the mouse wheel. The route selected is highlighted in blue. change point using 'Shift' left click. You can 'grab' the map and shift it to view other areas. You can use the 'monitor' icon to select what things are shown on the 2D map. The route selection bo...

Sometimes you need to right click with the mouse before all the arrow keys start to work after changing camera view.

Look for the route that is highlighted in blue - that shows how things are set, but you have to start setting the route from the locomotive

Re: Upgraded to a X-Fi
I am running with a CMedia CMI8738/C3DX card, and sometimes I lose the driving locomotive sounds when another train passes the other way. I obviously need an upgrade of some sort

Re: AI collision ending scenario
These AI crashes do seem to be dependent on how long it takes you to drive through the scenario. Some people manage to complete most of the scenarios OK, some get the crashes. Not sure if you have to be quick or slow or on-time to avoid the crahes though.

Re: Unwanted face triangulation makes 3D Canvas unuseable
I sometimes get a similar problem if I have moved points and end up with a face that is not 'flat'. I can usually get to select a face or an edge by viewing at a very acute angle, or sometimes from behind the face.

Re: Road traffic Question
I think that the traffic is actually linked to the road pieces used. There are german specific road pieces that I believe, spawns german traffic driving on the right. It is probably specified in one of the xml files somewhere. Also, I think that traffic gets ditched first if the game engine is busy ...

Yes, when I got mine, I thought some of the controls seemed a little fragile, but it has stood up very well to several years service. Has anyone had any breakages with theirs? I have not heard of any.
It gets my recommendation - once the RS drivers are available and working.

Re: Adding stock?
There are a couple of things we don't really know yet, which should stop us uploading new models yet: 1. naming conventions - it looks like user created stuff should have a GUID attached, so that uniqueness can be ensured 2. it looks like things have been designed for object re-use, so your repaint ...
