Re: Advice wanted on a sticking issue with rail sim
Regarding Defrag programs, Iu have tried diskeeper, Perfect disk and a couple more, but my all time favourite is O&O Defrag. It can defrag in any of 5 methods unlike the others. STEALTH Method The STEALTH method differs from the other methods in that it is much faster and uses much less main memory ...

Re: Keyboard wont work in Vista
Thanks Barry, Reading your reply I realised I didn't include the info that I have MSTS installed in D:\, Im very sorry for that. Late last evening, 10.30pm I decided to have another try to fix it, I pressed a few keys, one at a time, and I found that the Windows key at the bottom right minimizes the...

Keyboard wont work in Vista
Hi, I have just installed MSTS in Vista Business Full and also RSim, Rsim works as it should, but I can't get the keyboard to work in MSTS. It happened in an installation with fixes installed in MSTS, and 30 minutes ago in a clean installation with nothing installed in it. However, I had an explore ...

Doug, a method I use is to go into :
Start button,
Settings,
control Panel:
User Accounts
and simply turn off the UAC.

Re: Apologies.
Hi Niall I do not know if this is correct but someone told me that anyone buying a Vista operating system is entitled to a free copy of XP if they would prefer to have that installed instead. There might be an argument for buying a new computer but installing XP under this option until Windows 7 co...

Transparent Track Monitor and Next Station
Hi, What I'd like to do is make the Track Monitor and the Next Station thingies somewhat transparent so that I can see only the text and whatever is behind them, e.g., the cab. I seen screenshots of them somewhere but, of course, I can't remember where, they looked great. I have the latest MSTS Bin ...

Re: Length of Commercial Routes
Paying £13 for a 158 DMU may seem a bit steep to some. If that same package can be re-used in multiple routes and scenarios, then the cost of it doesn't seem so steep. If however, every route from a different supplier starts building their own 158 DMU, every time you buy a route you are also buying...

Re: New Product from The Armstrong Powerhouse
The bits and pieces will cost you £40, I've just had a look as I was for getting it but I cannot afford all that, the price of Electricity and gas is a scandal, where I am there is only 1 electricity company and 1 gas company and they can and do charge what they want to. All our spare cash goes into...

Re: Length of Commercial Routes
My views are I don't mind what length a route is, I like longer ones, I also dont mind paying for a route, after all, it takes a lot of work and time to program them, but a person can only afford so many of them. What I'd require in a pay for route is that everything is included in it so that I dont...

John, My very sincere apologies because, although I usually check my post before submitting it, I really messed that one up, I forgot to say that I did modify the file that you posted about. I'm very sorry for that. The Rail Driver people are not keen to answer reports that users post in their websi...
