Re: 15 mins to load Railworks

Hi Mark It takes me about 3 to 4 mins from starting RW to getting a scenario running, I close down the initial opening screen (the one with all the DLC stuff on it) once I've clicked on start railworks (you have to be quick!). That seems to help. I'm using Window 7 64bit with 4Gb ram on a Core 2 Qua...

Re: Steam blocked

Hi I also got the "Please log in" message even though the remember password was ticked and typed my password but all went well and RW loaded fine. Then Steam updated, logged in again and loaded RW and it's still OK. I'm using Windows XP and I did hear that there was a large Windows update yesterday,...

Re: Crouch valley Ballast scenario

Hi

Peteredw is right, there is no content in the .rwp file, if you look at the size of the .rwp file it's only 27 bytes, most scenarios are about 50 to 60k depending if they have scenery in them.

Re: Decisions

Hi

Yes, it will be updating RW to the latest version. Once finished, you never need to connect to the internet again, only for updates (which it is what its probably doing now. You should have version v97.6a when it's finished.

welcome to our hobby :D

Re: Decisions

Hi If you have the DVD version you don't have to download it from Steam. But when you install it, you have to have the computer you are installing it to connected to the internet to register RW with steam once only, after that you don't need steam again only for updates and then run RW off line. The...

Re: Decisions

Hi

You will need to have an internet connection to the computer you wish to run RW on, once RW and Steam is installed, then just run RW in off line mode.

Re: Another Update to RailWorks v97.6a

Hi Yes. snowing and raining in stations with overall roofs has got to be sorted out. It really looks silly, and so does the vehicles doing wheelies on slopes. I still feel this was a hurried "update". As I said before, it was rushed out before a bank holiday weekend, and I don't think, or can't beli...

Re: Another Update to RailWorks v97.6a

Hi all

Call me a synic, the rushed (unchecked?) update, and the jub, that needs a patch, promised next week, being sent out last thing on a friday before a bank holiday (here in England) might have something to do with it? :P

Re: Another Update to RailWorks v97.6a

Hi

Just run from York to Newcastle, and there seems to be a few scenery tweeks again.

Will try the other routes and see if anything's changed there.
