Re: The DVD's are out
Any chance someone can post a pic of the disc? My copy hasn't arrived and I'd be interested to see what an eco disc is. Also, from the sounds of it, Steam stikes again. But I'll wait till I get my copy before giving my verdict. A pic of the disk won't help, but it is about as thin as 4 sheets of A4...

Re: The DVD's are out
Just let it finish, it will load eventually, not sure what speed your internet is, but it may take a while (trust me it's worth it - the class 37 is awsome).dean1986 wrote:I tried clicking Railworks the steam installing bar came up saying creating local game cache files.

Oh dear!
It may be that Steam is a bit overwhelmed, but if it say's it's downloading files, just minimise that window, and load RW anyway, it should load OK!

Re: The DVD's are out
Its downloading the files from Steam. Whats the point in the disk? Dean It will load the files off the disk approx 4GB then it will do an update, depending on the speed of your internet connection and the size of the update this can take a while, but if you had to download the entire programme, tha...

Re: The DVD's are out
Absolutly, the DVD is one of those "eco" disks, and I can see people damaging them trying to get them out of the box!dipper6 wrote:RW_Tools will also do it, I havent tried it but Mike Simpson gave that in a post in this forum.
BTW, I'm not keen on the quality of the actual DVD Disk, its very thin indeed.

Re: RailWorksProc error
You have to transfer scenarios in RPK format, as the scenarios.bin root file has been replaced with scenarioproperties.xml files in each scenario folder. I appreciate that RW handles scenarios different to RS and I did transfer the files as you state, then loaded them into RW using RW's package man...

Re: RailWorksProc error
Hi all I was getting the same error whenever I loaded RW, and did a bit of investigating into it by trial and error and managed to cure it (for me anyway) I started by backing up the content folder, and stripped everything out of it that didn't come with the original RW folder, loaded RW no problem,...

Re: Class 37 - Praise for an astonishing model.
Well, where do I start? I once had a Multi locomotive multi region train simulator that gave me a good range of types to try, now I've got a Class 37 simulator!
Brilliant work Derek. Can't wait for the next one!!!

Update! What update?
I got RW on Friday, and after a 4 hour + download, got it installed, and transfered all my stock, activities and routes from RS with no probs, I noticed that there was an update issued a few days before I bought RW, and fixed a few problems. No problem, I thought, Steam will update my copy of RW, or...
