Re: Invisible Track

I understand the construction of this track piece might be the issue so I'll explain it's construction. The ballast is an extruded object, the rails and sleepers are all separate parts, I then joined the lot and exported. Is this incorrect? I find KRS much more difficult to make work than MSTS, it's...

Re: Austrian Narrow Gauge

Pretty.. but impossible to be imported into RS. The ballast - Rail 3D and the sleeper 3D have to be 2 distinct Objects. My old posts about the argument are still visible... the third has the list of basic things to be done to do a track for RS. :) http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?f=218&t=...

Invisible Track

I need some narrow gauge track so I decided to produce some in 3D Canvas. So I came up with this, http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/3568/track.jpg 4m piece of track, correct shader set etc all as per the PDF guide. Exports fine with no errors, I then go into the sim and when I lay the track it lays l...

Re: Austrian Narrow Gauge

The Centovallibahn? I know a little of this route, it's very scenic though!

Here is a little update, the track section and buffers for KRS, I hope I can get it to work in KRS tonight.

Austrian Narrow Gauge

I have been working on several projects, mostly putting together the models as I am waiting for a trip to Austria later this year to get some photographs I can use for photo-real textures. Long term plan is to create several Austrian narrow gauge lines in as best detail I can. Though I don't get on ...

Re: Specular problem

Cheers Doug, I'll give that a try. Is there a way to change the Specular value once the texture is applied, I imported it in to MSTS and it could only be appropriate for red nose day it's that bright!!

Re: Specular problem

And another oddity I thought I'd throw in, same model but what causes the weird inside texture bleed through on the cab textures?

Specular problem

I spent a couple of hours applying textures to a model for MSTS, I forgot to set the Specular value to something above 0. Can I change the value and have it update all the textures already applied?

Thanks for any help,

Re: Small Dutch shunter aka Sik

Looking good, I like these machines very much! Though I prefur the Yellow/Grey to the Green as that is how they were when I went, just before they were withdrawn! Very pretty and much nicer than the German Kof!

Re: That Friday Feeling :)

Except that most of them don't have a population of 61 million! I can only assume that Microsoft has very good reasons for ignoring such a large market, especially as the UK has a higher proportion of railway enthusiasts than most other countries, judging from the number of monthly railway magazine...
