Re: Custom Items
I'd recommend 3D Canvas, it's not very expensive and there is plenty of help and support available at their forums. I have used it for just over a year and I am getting on very well with it.

Re: Twisted texture
I can't see the image, so I'm guessing as to the problem. You need to be in Screen Coordinates modeling mode ( http://www.3d-canvas.com/images/Button-MainToolbar-Coordinate-Screen.gif ), then point the view so it is looking strait at the faces that need texturing, then apply the texture. Thanks Pete, will give that a try. I couldn't find any size spec in the DevDocs, I even tried the lofted geometry doc for this info.

Re: Invisible Track
300x100pixels for it, the error says can't create d3d file 86 x 36. I don't understand what the error is as it doesn't say and numbers mean nothing to me.

Ok, I'm getting there just need to add some 3d sleepers. My issue now is, 1. How do I change the gauge of the turnout, it is standard gauge though it uses my rail model and ballast model? 2. Every time I try and export the Track Section with the texture for the "SuperSleepers" the d3d converter thro...

Re: Invisible Track
So the height of the texture say 512pixels should represent the length of the 4 meter long track section and any side space is not used? Here's a diagram to help me explain,

Re: Invisible Track
Progress has been made, I have the model in!
How does KRS texture the track? It seems to ignore any mapping? Will it only place a full texture on top with no mapping?
