Re: Missing Assets

Hi,
I think I might have found the railfreight van? Search UKTS library for File ID 20273 and see if that's the one you have missing.

Re: 'Thameslink' Route

This is just an observation, but it can be difficult to search the UKTS download library. It is easy if you have already made a note of the file number, or you know the name/username of the developer. If not then you have to start guessing what the 'keyword' or file name might be. And the naming of ...

Re: Proving the pundits wrong?

Hi Stephen, Glad to see you're up and running RW again. It is surprising what machines will run TS2012/3 satisfactorily with TSX off. I have tried TS2012 on my low end PC (nVidia Geforce 315 Windows 7 64bit) and much to my surprise it runs very well! I think it must all depend on what you have in th...

Re: If only..................

Yep, it's a great temptation to reinstall MSTS, there are so many old pre-grouping steamers available, and more appearing almost daily.
MSTS has still a lot going for it!

Re: Updated V2 Loco

I have found the freeware Halls in the UKTS library, they are for Rail Simulator, and the files are dated August 2011, so I don't know if they will work in TS2013.
The File IDs are:
27020 Astley Hall in BR Black.
27021 Dumbleton Hall in GWR Green.
27020 Kinlet Hall in GWR Green.
regards Ted.

Re: Problems with 3rd party routes in TS2013 with SBHH

Mike Simpson mentions over a hundred routes and nearly two thousand scenarios, Railworks has obviously become saturated. The time has come to stop downloading everything just because it is available, and to only have on your Railworks/TS2013 set up those routes and rolling stock that you are really ...

Re: Kuju - Standard Van - It's "bugging me"

The Standard Van has been a default item in the Kuju folders since the very first release of Rail Simulator. It seems to me that Railworks is getting into a right old mess with all the reskins and reskins of reskins flying around. No wonder RS.com are rearranging things, and introducing the Workshop...

Re: Disappearing track

Hi, While I cannot help in solving the disappearance of your track, I would like to question your comment on backups! When you finished working on your route yesterday evening you should have taken a backup. When you loaded up the route today and found the tracks missing, you could have restored the...

Re: Passenger Density

If you could alter the platforms to have no passengers at all, and then alter some invisible platforms to each have a different density of passengers, you could place an appropriate invisible platform on top of the empty platform. I have used GWR platforms (freeware somewhere - and which have no pas...

Re: Preserving TS2012

I do a simple copy of the complete Steam folder, and paste it into another drive, either on my computer's maindisk or on a USB hard drive. Before you do it, make sure that you are successfully running TS2012 in off line mode (disconnect your internet connection to make sure it is running offline), c...

Re: Lowering the ground.

There is a tool to do that job. Have a look for a terrain tool that has the options to select the number of grid squares, and also the height to set the ground level to. You can enter a minus figure if necessary for the ground level. The manuals should help guide you. I can't guide you any more than...

Re: Train Simulator 2013

I downloaded 'autoruns.exe' from Microsoft's site and ran that little freeware program. It lets you select which programs you want to startup (or not startup) when switching on your PC. It is the only way I could find to do it with Windows 7. regards Ted. P.S. Make sure you 'untick' Steam as well as...

Re: Railworks 2013 - Xbox Controller?

It's not that I think gaming is dying, but I can forsee that games will no longer need a computer the size of a present PC to run them. Miniaturisation has been going on for many years now, can you not imagine graphics being handled on something very much smaller than the present sized graphics card...

Re: Railworks 2013 - Xbox Controller?

Well, I reckon RS.com intend to stay in business, and they are going about it in exactly the right way to stay in business. In five years time who knows what will have happened? Five years is a hell of a long time in computer development terms, and the demise of the PC is already being predicted. RS...
