Re: Welcome to Everyone From Trainsimcental.

This forum is ok, but there nothing like the BVE expertise and information here. That may or may not change, depending where all the people from TSC end up. Anyone want to mobilize the teeming masses to get a bandwagon effect going? This forum is a possible candidate, as is the UK Rail forum. In ei...

Re: OpenBve Video

I ask you, have you ever experienced any transparency problems from authors such as Anthony Bowden? (Take a look at his textures - all 256 colour depth.) Actually, yes, I have. Take, for instance, Anthony's OLE objects in Sandymill Electric, which were also used in Steve Green's Hammerwich to Wood ...

Re: OpenBve Video

The answer simply is to look for all the bitmaps in the route or train download and convert them to 256 colour depth. Isn't that just part of the solution? It's true that by using 256 color bitmaps, you avoid the limitations of certain graphics cards, but on the other hand, forcing the picture onto...

BVE 2 ATC Indicators

Some of the ATC indicators in the BVE 2 safety systems panel are still a mystery to me ... I have no idea what ATC RELEASE and EMG OPERATION do (I could make a wild guess, but I don't know). I'd also like to know more about ATC EMG; I worked out that it is lit red if the route is not equipped for AT...

BVE 2 under Vista

I've been compiling some BVE 2-related information that I intend to publish once I'm done, and there are a still a few gaping holes. One of them is this: What's the situation with BVE 2 and Vista? I have been following Vista-related discussions, I've searched the web, but so far, I don't feel I've l...

Re: Open BVE

Hi it was version 2 Ive downloaded the london tube routes but it wont play them it keeps saying please select a train The BVE FAQ doesn't cover version 2 explicitly, but much is the same as in version 4. In any case: when BVE asks you to select a train, you are really selecting a particular train w...

Re: Widescreen BVE?

Sure does. You'll probably want to use the ResChanger utility, available at http://www.bveroutes-trains.co.uk/misc/reschanger.html. This utility allows you to customize your BVE resolutions for window and fullscreen mode.
