Ian, I had sound problems after I upgraded to XP. I have an onboard sound chip like you. I found things improved, (but not cured altogether), after upgrading the motherboards bios.

I think the track problem is caused by X Tracks, used for the S&C1930s. Copy the original tsection.dat (I think thats the one!!!) back into your global folder and the problem should be cured

You need the modern version of the S&C that IKB produced. Unfortunately it appears to have been removed from here.

It makes sense to try to keep consist numbers down to stop the consist file getting too big. In an effort to help this it would be useful if consists could be re-used in other activities. For example...if I were doing an activity for 1930s S&C there might be some consists already created for the "Do...

I don't suppose switching your speakers on and off would give you the effect that you're after lol

Matt, would it be possible for you to publish a downloadable list or list of files and their IDs. This would be especially useful to those of us who upload activities so that we can put the correct file IDs in the readme files. Ideally the lists could be in catagories to prevent things like building...
