Me too.

Just think, we witnessed the birth of UK Train simming. The 47, 47628 (IIRC) was the first loco i ever downloaded, back then it was the only loco, however :).

I remeber sitting looking at that site before i even managed to get my hands on a copy of TS, making odd slurping noises..

That's hardly fair. The 66 may be replacing all our beloved locos, but they are doing a good job.

I don't believe ordinary train drivers make 50k :). Last i checked, the salary for a starting driver is closer to 20k. Editted Addition: From the EWS site: "Salary: Training salary of £14,000 per annum, rising to £21,600 or £27,000 per annum depending on the nature of the first appointment after ...

OT: Ntlworld Webspace.

I'm an ntl customer, and i'd like to take advantage of my 'free webspace' they like to boast about. I've tried looking through their site, but cannot find -any- information on how i'm supposed to get hold of my 'free webspace'. Could a smart person here please point me in the right direction, thanks...

First of all, GCSE's don't really matter that much. They're a rather large waste of time (this doesn't mean you shouldn't try your best, though!). Generally speaking, people are not interested in the specific GCSE's that you have, more the number of A grades, or B grades, for example. My advice is t...

I was shocked when i couldn't get into trainsimfiles, Dave Babb informed me that we had regrouped over here.

I had originaly found this site somewhere around November, and signed up, but first visited the forums in the middle of December.

Hey, good old East Croydon. Shame they had to rip down the lovely Victorian building. That grey concrete tower with the notched edges in the left of the top pic was nicknamed the "Pile of Thrupenny Bits" when it was built - that gives you an idea of it's age. Certainly looks like it too! Perhaps a ...

I seem to remember something about coke burning too hot for steam engines, i'm not sure of the exact details though.

I'd have said it was closer to 20-30 seconds. They don't take almost a minute to leave the station here at Newport, at any rate. My first impression when throttling out of the station was that it was a little slow. If it wasn't the demo verison i'd have made some changes to the .eng file myself. As ...
