Re: JEC UK DMU's for MSTS

The file contains : Ian Jenkins Class 153, skin by John Diben Steven Wellers Class 156404 Jon Powells class 170, skin by Kerr. 3DTS Class 101. There is no obvious readme explaining how these are different to the originals in any way and what permissions have been obtained. I am slightly confused how...

Re: Help the aged simmers who just want to drive

If you could therefore direct me to where the aforesaid information can be obtained I would be very much obliged. I have written to Making Tracks on the commercial side but seemingly 'silence is golden'. I don't know where / how you asked but there are no outstanding queries in the MT support syste...

Re: Do you have access to another computer?

Mr Babb: Usage of a NAS drive did make me ponder, we have a WD My Book, which can be fully run as a web server, etc. If an emulator can be created for a .NET program, then the possibility is there, but I'm not sure that would be likely. The other factor that I have not considered is processor speed...

Re: Do you have access to another computer?

You've missed out some options. I have a QNAP NAS which is a Linux powered Network drive, but is a full fledged "PC on a Chip" so does count as a PC... I now have a network some offices would be proud of, 2 switches + a router / modem. Network connected printer, 2 NAS, 2 laptops, 1 HTPC, a media str...

District Dave RIP

Not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere else, could not see it, but it appears District Dave passed away on March 17th.

Making Tracks did build both parts of NWC, and it does have a few items of MT stock in as well.

Re: Making Tracks Website

The shop will be part of the MT Site so the shop won't be up until the site is 'cleaned'. We think we know what is causing the warnings, and its probably as simple as some images coming from the old MT Shop which is marked as compromised by Google.

Re: OMSI

before we get the UK buses think could do with right hand drive first. I think you mean left hand drive, yes we could do with that, I am sure it will be possible one day. I think he means right hand drive as you sit on the right hand side to drive. Right hand drive is not the same as "drive on the ...

Re: Cameras

I fairly recently bought a Nikon S8000 as a compact. Its a something like 14mp and 10x zoom. It is out of your £125 budget though.... I actually really like it, and its not bad at doing macro type shots on some 1:72 scale models. This is a shrunken shot of it taken a week or 3 ago. Given the scale a...

Re: Cameras

I've just replaced a Fuji S8100 as I hated the resulting photos (lots of noise). Having read a fair few reviews I ended up not going for the newest model exactly for the reasons Matt mentions. They appear to have added more pixies but kept the same CCD, resulting in noisy photos again, and a bigger ...
