Re: Strange Rumours
I must stand up for Jon on this :fadein: .........it's really a 'pregnant pause' rendered grammatically. The more dot's the greater the pregnancy. I.........think, therefore..........I am. Yeah, it's an affectation, but thankfully it's catching on......isn't it? Cheers Bazza Are you ......... sure?

Re: Strange Rumours
I expect most people want the hobby to improve, but I'd tend to want to encourage rather than rubbish the creators of 'lower quality' assets. Stomping all over people's initial efforts may harm the hobby as the improved assets will never appear due to discouraged creators.

Re: Overpriced?
I'm actually beginning to wonder whether it might be a good idea for Matt to temporarily lock this board and re-open it on 12th October when there is actually something concrete to discuss. Couldn't you achieve a similar effect by just not looking in this forum. Self locking as it were. That way th...

Re: Strange Rumours
What I meant by my original comment was that obviously 'we' are a very small band. This band is then split down further into types of loco, eras geographical regions etc. The more 'base' simulators available, the more diluted it becomes. A long association with Trainz suggests that creators come and...

Re: Strange Rumours
just as its impossible to measure how much time has been wasted by those who continue with Trainz. I suspect the world at large sees time spent on any train simulator as a waste of time. I will continue to waste some of my time with Trainz. I find it ........ enjoyable, you see. Hmm, I wonder if it...

Re: railsimulator.com so poor
A passing thought about why documentation will not be obtainable before release. Perhaps it is because it would make life even easier for the warez kiddies?

Re: Pre-ordered mine
I take a different view. KRS's longevity will depend on whether it is any good. If it is, the community will offer support regardless of Kuju's attitude. Anything else would be cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Re: railsimulator.com so poor
Whatever Kuju (or indeed any developer) do, there will always be someone criticizing and reckoning they know how to do it better. I am constantly bemused at the wasted expertise of those who clearly should be running their own software development teams, but somehow never get around to it.

Re: railsimulator.com so poor
Hi Everyone, Please bear with us at this time. We are currently in the process of replacing the official Rail Simulator site with a new more efficient one. This is resulting in a somewhat empty site at present but we are working as fast as possible to make it more engaging. We certainly have the co...

I don't suppose Kuju could release KRS early. All this psuedo-philosophy is wearing me out.
Documentation please so fertile minds can be set to something useful.

Re: World Editor Video now online
I'd say you're on a winner KujuAdam as you already have one person who is convinced they are saving the planet with rail simulation. Perhaps you can emphasize KRS's, admittedly well hidden, green credentials. As to continuous support, having ridden on the Trainz rde for many years, a promise ...

It seems a lot is expected for between £30-£40 pounds. Now if you can find a time/place where SE isn't used, KRS will be fine.
